Yes I know exactly which episode you're talking about. I was confused too because I found it to be out of character for him. Didn't get it. I absolutely find him to be the real deal, but this ONE episode was cringe!

2025-07-16 07:40:48 +0000 UTCSorry this is so off topic but I imagine you guys have seen the “Sabbatical” YouTube vlogger travel guy. He seemed authentic and honest when he was in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, but then I looked at one of his China videos (and I was a little suspicious as he went in the last year) and the whole focus was to show one nice looking rural village instead of the impoverished villages. It is hard to tell which travel vloggers are honest when some videos seem to be so and then it is so disappointing when they appear to be shilling for the CCP. To be fair, he does slip in some criticisms in his China videos, such as calling out the CCP for making it so difficult for foreigners to get a permit to see Tibet
