2025-04-13 04:36:31 +0000 UTCThe real safety tell is when you can see people leave helmets on bikes, just leave them hanging without using special locks, and without a camera right nearby. I have seen places where that is the norm, but not in China. Her first motorbike with a bag was parked directly below a pole with a big CCTV sign and camera, and I have not been able to spot any helmets. The lady should try leaving her wallet or credit card somewhere. I know places where she can return and get them back the next day, but no they are not in China.
