"Everything Sucks" by Descendents wins for Episode #3! This album was quite a challenge to analyze in ways I totally didn't expect. I didn't realize this band formed in the late 1970s and were so influential to the scene until I did additional research prior to this episode. Learning about their history (and legacy) allowed me experience this band through a much different lens than when I first heard them on YouTube. I was taken on a wild escapade full of raw emotion, quirky surprises, and head-scratching epiphanies. Lastly? I was left in the dust trying to keep up with Karl Alvarez's bass playing. Everything he played gave me a run for my money, kept me guessing, and kept me grinning until the album's final moments.
