[Full Album] PROPAGANDHI | "Victory Lap"

Episode #2 set the bar pretty friggin' high! Oh my. Propagandhi's "Victory Lap" was such a ride. I enjoyed this journey of technical prowess that was neatly tucked under the deepest of subject matters. This band's songwriting approach is one of the most unique I've heard; I think these are "songs" just as much as they are "soundtracks" to a deeply personal diary entry. I relate to Todd's bass playing style so much, and it was incredibly inspiring to hear his work. I hope you all enjoy this episode as much as I did making it.

I bet someone corrected you already, but Chris is singing in Lower Order, and he's playing guitar. Todd's the more rough vocalist who when he couldn't scream anymore developed into a baritone after seeing some doctors so his songs are almost always toned much lower than Chris' . Also don't know if anyone mentioned, but Dave recorded the other guitar on a few songs on this album (Cop Just Out of Frame, In Flagrante Delicto, Tartuffe and Call Before You Dig), he's credited in the album, but only as "Propagandhi Alumn : Dave "the Beav" Guillas : Additional Guitars, but he was nice enough to tell me on twitter which he plays on. He also plays on the left out to a flexi 7", although I'm glad I bought the clear vinyl version that's got it, the song "Laughing Stock" was also recorded for this album and it was written almost entirely by Dave, they were nice enough to let us get to hear it, as they played it live a whole lot in between Failed States and Victory Lap and it's a thrasher, I wonder why it didn't make the actual album, not that I'd take any out, I'd just slip it in somewhere, deserves better than to be a weird square flexi vinyl imo.

Re Comply/ Resist: “this … got so intense so quickly.” I’m pretty sure that’s how indigenous people experienced white people.
