This was another great chapter. I'm trying with the idea of rereading the first two books soon, and was curious about pacing that along with when the next book will be finished. Do you have an approximate time line at this point?

2026-02-25 21:46:50 +0000 UTCThe wording is really what throws me off here, sice "semester" implies two pieces ("semi") I believe. So 4th semester is 2nd half of 2nd year. An academic year split into 3 parts (or at least 3 active parts) would be a trimester afaik. I don't know if there's an academic term for smaller increments, but I'd just guess "quarter" would be it.

The start of the 4th semester hasn’t started yet since there’s no parameter testing but it’s been forever since the start of the 3d semester since the start of the third we’ve had the 1) sectionals torment 2) a month long comma 3) then all this training and stuff

2026-02-23 18:33:20 +0000 UTCI like the characterization of Sarah and the reactions of all in this chapter feel right, just not enough. The direction of the conversation makes sense to me, with both Sarah and Reidon coming at it without knowledge about the other, save for what might be found on the public nets. The history of both would make this tense until they get a feeling of the other before opening up and trusting the other. For Reidon he needs to insure his new sister is a person he can trust, for Sarah I believe she is looking for the brother her parents lied to her about. I think both have been damaged by the selfishness of the parents and the distance and lack of subtlety of their grandfather. I think it will be interesting to see where this leads and makes me wonder about Shido and how they affect those around. From what has been seen it seems to rely upon how Reidon/Shido feel about the person and the amount of time they are around, it seems the more they like and trust the more direct the influence (besides Rei it has influenced most directly Viv, followed Catcher, Aria then Chancery, leaving out for now Logan who has a history that is resolving) I am wondering if this influence will spread to others close to Reidon/Shido such as the Lasher, Dice, heck even the other trainers and Dent. Will be interesting to see where this goes and thank you again for a wonderful chapter short that carries the story forward.
