I donβt remember all the names, but Iβm assuming Gathers was one of the lackeys who jumped Rei in book 1? I donβt know why the gang would treat him otherwise, unless he and Rei had some offscreen altercation. Iβm surprised Abel didnβt know of Rei until the end of the Semester. The MIND not sending a heads-up to the higher ups is an oddity. We also know of itβs also strangely humanly desire to want Abel dead is crazy for an AI this powerful. Dent with her fascination in old world media, should definitely have ran across βEvil ruler of the Galaxyβ AI. Unless the MIND scrapped everything? Idk it just seems weird to me how human the MIND is with no one questioning it, book 1 definitely gave a kiddish vibe when Rei was having his interview pre-cad assign. With a more cynical personality in book 2.
