The Iron Prince will claim his crown.
Reidon Wardโs first semester at the Galens Institute hasn't been without reward. In just over half a year heโs gone from the weakest cadet at school to one of the strongest in his class, and thereโs no one left who would argue that his Device, Shido, isnโt the most terrifying CAD theyโve ever laid eyes on. Still, Rei knows that his climb has barely begun, like he knows that the true fight is only just starting.
After allโฆ The Sectionals tournament has arrived.
Rei, along with Aria, Viv, Catcher, and a couple unexpected squadmates, are about to face the first real battle of their careers. Squaring off with some of the best Users in the Astra System, theyโre going to have to put everything they haveโas individuals and as a teamโinto their coming fights if they want to ultimately end up standing at the top. As ever, though, their journey is hardly bound to be a smooth one. Especially not when Rei and Aria begin to suspect that Shido may be even more formidable than it appears.
And much less as the powerful entities who've already taken notice of the โIron Prince of Galens' begin to make their moves, some casting their hands in his favor, others very much againstโฆ

To me it always seemed that the advantage of type shift is that it is a complete overhaul. That the stats that you have in brawler mode are completely different than the stats that you have or could have and saber mode. And in Reiden's case they are. Where is arsenal shift only allows the device itself to physically change its shape. This is how I'm interpreting it. By the way, this is giving me a really great idea for a defensive weapon. I'm a physicist.

2023-08-31 17:25:49 +0000 UTCIron Prince is my go to book when I donโt feel like listening to a new book. I buy 24 credits/ year plus the โfree listensโ and kindle unlimited options available to me. So itโs not a lack of options. I own an insulation company so when Iโm driving to do bids over the metro or working I listen to books. Iโm guessing Iโve listened to it a dozen times at a minimum, Fire and Song will have similar numbers.

2023-07-23 19:00:31 +0000 UTCArsenal shift is the manifestation of the weapon only into a couple of different shapes or forms like a sword to an Axe. Type shift is a complete change to a different type altogether like his Brawler mode to a Sabre mode. Everything changes with this his specs and all evolve to the new mode he shifts to. Hope that simplifies it.

2023-07-18 20:30:03 +0000 UTCType shift is a full on change of stats and strengths. For example, with type shift, Rei not only changes his weapon to a sword, but his stats change from a speed and cognition focused brawler to a more well rounded saber. Arsenal shift only changes the weapon, and not the users stats.

2023-07-15 18:11:22 +0000 UTCCan't wait for the audio book to come out. I'm a truck driver and I've lost count of how many times I've listened to the first one.

2023-07-15 15:58:50 +0000 UTCWell, if youโre cool with it I will start one and see where it goes. Worst case is it doesnโt increase your readers best case it provides some additional exposure to your brand.
