Got something special for those interested in more of the nitty gritty behind the scenes details! This is our combined animation and cleanup guide. I hope it may help shed some light on how this part of the process is handled for anyone just curious, getting into animation, or even looking to start their own production! While this is an animation guide, it will not be going over any animation fundamentals, this is more focused on the technical and stylistic aspects we want our team to focus on.
While they are separate jobs, we find it important for both animators and cleanup animators to understand what each other's jobs require so they may work together more smoothly. In addition to this guide we also hand out notes on each shot specifically with details to keep in mind or specific direction for the frame rate and motion of the characters. A guide alone can't cover everything so in order to make sure we're on the same page as our team we try our best to convey each shots needs.

Soon we'd like to make a breakdown of how a shot is created from start to finish in as much detail as possible. Walk through what styles of animation and frame rates we choose for certain shots and why, the color theory involved, how revisions have molded the shot over time, and how we handle compositing etc. If there's any technical or basic aspects you'd also like us to cover always feel free to let us know! Animation production is like putting together a 10,000 piece puzzle so there's lots to cover and we're happy to help shine a light on the process. Hopefully this helps! Have a good day everyone and see you $5+ patrons this Sunday.
