October 2022 Update! Halloween Surprises

Well, the good news is that the military was able to defeat the meat mountain before it completely consumed the city block. The bad news is that it looks like we’ll be eating nothing but Arby’s debris for the foreseeable future here at the Far-Fetched office. Speaking of a nightmare, Happy October freaks! Since it’s the most wonderful month of the year, we’ve decided to go all out & give you guys multiple treats to get you into the Halloween mood in this month’s update!

As you all saw, we started off the month by finally unleashing Drain to the public, to INSANE reactions. Just wanted to say that we were completely blown away by how much you all enjoyed meeting our little shampire & couldn’t believe we actually ended up on Twitter trending for the first time! We also announced the four wonderful voice actors who play the multiple monsters in our pilot yesterday. We basically wanted October to be the month where we reveal / hint at most of our supernatural characters & monsters, because tis’ the season!

We’re psyched to announce that the next thing we’re dropping into your trick-or-treat bags this month is our very first Sesamoid cover song! We decided to go all in on the spooky season & record a Sesamoid version of “Terror Time” from the amazing film Scooby-Doo On Zombie Island. Hunter just finished laying down the instrumental for the track, and Jacob is currently recording Griff’s vocals so we can have it out before the end of the month! You can listen to a little sample of what’s in store for the cover above!

But that’s not all the treats you’re getting! We’re rolling out a super fun storyboard short on Halloween day! Our storyboard lead Salem has been in charge of putting together a spook-tacular short of Piper as Dr. Frankenstein attempting to bring her monster Warren to life, with some “shocking” results. We wanted to go for something like the old school Halloween bumpers from Nickelodeon & Cartoon Network, and we even got the character’s voice actors involved to go all out!

Lastly, we wanted to let you freaks know that we actually brought on a full-time production manager to help us going forward! Our friend Sam, who was mainly helping us with social media stuff, is now going to be in charge of keeping the pipeline of production flowing smoothly. Up to this point, Dave & Ashley have been in charge of scheduling meetings, assigning deadlines, following up on assigned duties with team members, etc. With Sam’s help to be in charge of these things, Ashley & Dave as creators will have more time and room to focus on the big parts of making the show instead of lots of micro-management.
