September 2022 Update! Lyric Video Updates and Backgrounds

WHEW! Can you believe that missile missed our office by just a few inches? Thank god nobody likes Arby’s, because the one next door went from a Meat Mountain to RUBBLE Mountain! Hahaha…anyway, amongst all the smoke and ash in this late-summer air, we’ve found ourselves quite busy this past month over at Far-Fetched HQ! So let’s ignore that weird growling sound coming from the dead Arby’s & get to the update!

First of all, we’re absolutely thrilled to say that the big lyric video for Sesamoid’s debut song “Adventricular” will be coming out on our YouTube channel NEXT SATURDAY, THE 24TH! We’ve been hyping this up for a while, but we really wanted to make sure that the band side of Sesamoid & Far-Fetched had the proper start so going all out like this was our only option. Alongside the video, the song will also be hitting streaming services like Spotify & Apple Music the same day for your ear-holes!

A ton of work has gone into making the song & lyric video from every part of the team. From the music crew, led by Hunter Bass, making the actual song, to a bunch of the art team drawing & coloring all the polaroids, and even a few of our animators doing some simple animations of the gang that will be scattered throughout the video! We really wanted to make sure Adventricular was a double package, with the video being just as re-watchable as the song is re-listenable.

As far as the pilot goes, we’re very heavily focused right now on background layouts. Having the majority of these layouts set in stone lays a strong foundation for our animators to work from. It’s much easier for our animators to have a “set” to put our characters in than to just guess how they should move through 3D space in a white void…if that makes sense? We’ve hired a few new background artists recently who have been absolutely KILLING IT, making each scene super detailed and just a blast to look at. Overall, the whole background team’s been knocking these out faster than anticipated, which means we’ll be able to complete more chunks of rough animation sooner than we thought!

We’re also working on putting out more comics amongst everything. We have a couple in the works that are really fun, with plans to include Regan and Clodagh in some of them as well! Once the lyric video is fully out, Far-Fetched Fridays will be going back to mainly things like comics and pilot production peeks…with the occasional shitpost of course.

As always, our monthly Q&A will be taking place for all $5 & up Patrons on Saturday, September 24th at 5:00 PM PST! Thought it would be nice to hold it right after releasing “Adventricular” so it’s fresh on the mind. Remember to limit your questions to two maximum, with one request to speak in the server call. We’ll be talking a bit about the process of making “Adventricular” in the call, so please give us plenty of questions!
