August 2022 Update! The Bratty Batty.

Is this thing on? Are we good and green goo free? SUCCESS! Just had to get a new keyboard and my fingers taped after the nasty ending of last month’s update. Everything is totally back to normal and nothing wacky will happen going forward. So kick back and relax, because it’s time for a totally normal Far-Fetched August update!

First things first, we wanted to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to see us at Anime Matsuri at the end of last month! Dave & the crew had an absolute blast meeting a bunch of you freaks & showing off some new stuff at the Far-Fetched panel. We’re over the moon at the reactions the lyric video & character reveals got at the panel, and we’re going to try to upload part of the panel that we recorded onto Patreon very soon! We showed you guys Clodagh & Regan last month, but there’s one character we’re going to talk about this month that we revealed at the panel.

The big news about the Adventricular lyric video is that provided nothing out of our control happens, the finished video will be hitting YouTube on Friday, September 2nd! Our social media assistant Sam said it would be a great way to bring in “Sesamoid September'', so feel free to make that a thing, freaks. Ashley even designed new outfits for the gang’s roadtrip in the video, except for Griff & Kira. All the drawings, polaroids, and animations you saw on the WIP video here will be super spruced up and a bit different, so you’ll still have something to look forward to when the public release happens!

So now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for: The reveal of our first real antagonist of the series: Drain! Voiced by Michael Zekas. It’s been tough to keep this bratty bat boy a secret, but we decided it was time to relinquish him to your eye-holes. So what’s the deal with Drain? He’s a real life vampire, EDM musician, and self-proclaimed rival of Sesamoid, ESPECIALLY Quinn. He’s more obsessed with making sure the band isn’t a success than his own success. As you can see by his big mascot head, we wanted to model him after a lot of EDM musicians of the time like Daft Punk, Deadmau5, etc.

Drain definitely believes he’s way cooler than most others think he is. He can dish it out, but usually can't take any insult back. However, his ego & musical career are entirely financed by his powerful and influential father. He loves to flaunt his vampirism for the fangirls, but there are much less glamorous sides to being a vampire that he’d rather attempt to ignore. He’s mostly a nuisance in the eyes of the Sesamoid gang, but deep down he may be a bigger threat than anyone would have ever guessed…including himself. Also, never ask what his real first name is. So yes, LOOK AT THE BOY.
