July 2022 Update! New Character Bios + More

Here we stand at the apex of summer. The blistering heat of a thousand volcanoes radiates upon our skulls from just a single yellow ball in the sky. And yet, you have the unbearable urge to gaze upon this fireball of life with your bare corneas. Well we at Far-Fetched HQ would like to assure you, your eyes will melt if you do this. So please, proceed with caution. Oh yeah, it’s also July and time for this month’s update.

We have quite a bit to talk about this month, so sit your questionably-sized behinds down and get to reading. To start, our BIG NEWS that you’ve probably already heard about is we’ll be attending Anime Matsuri in Houston, Texas this month from the 28th until the 31st! We made a spooky little promo for our appearance starring our new advertising character Count Clearance, which you can watch HERE (Put link to video).

As a special treat before the convention just for you guys, we’re finally giving you a first look at the bios of two big side characters today! Meet Quinn’s grandmother, Clodagh Huckley, and Piper’s girlfriend, Regan Locklear! They’ll both have a brief appearance in the Adventricular lyric video, so we thought now would be the best time to reveal them both.

There’s going to be a lot going on at & right after the convention for us this year. First of all, we’ll be hanging out most of the weekend at our big Far-Fetched booth with a bunch of the members of our team! A ton of them have decided to tag along for the weekend, so besides just Ashley & Dave, you’ll get to meet some of our voice actors, animators, artists, musicians & more! It’ll probably be a pretty lively area with so many of them, so PLEASE come on down and meet us!

Speaking of the booth, we’ll also be selling some brand new merch there as well! Up to this point, our merchandise has been very small & limited, so we wanted to make this a chance to roll out some good stuff for you folks! We’ll have stickers, keychains, t-shirts, and multiple prints that you can have us sign! Right after the convention, all the merch will be available online so you can purchase it anytime! There will also be pre-orders for pins when the rest of the merch goes on the world wide web as well.

Lastly, we’re psyched to have a BIG PANEL this year and we sure as heck aren’t going to waste it. We’re going to be showing off a ton of stuff that the public & some not even you guys have seen! The big ticket item will be premiering our lyric video for the first Sesamoid song Adventricular, which we’re currently putting together and will be available to you folks & the public sometime after the con! We’re using a bunch of different styles for the video, including drawn polaroids, doodles, and even some animation to bring this thing to life. We’ll also be showing off some new boards and animation from the pilot, showing off the new characters you saw earlier, and answering the audience’s insightful questions!

Now that we’re through all the convention stuff, we wanted to let you know that our comics team has officially been expanded! We’ve brought on two super talented artists, Madelezabeth & Jokeboi, who will be helping us to get more original comics out to your eye-holes in a more timely manner. With the rest of production going on, it’s been tough to keep them coming out every two weeks, but hopefully this will put us back on that schedule!

Whew, that was a lot huh? Told you we’d have some big stuff for you eventually. Luckily if you’re not attending the convention, you’ll still have the chance to ask us whatever you want in our monthly Q&A for all $5 & up patrons at 5:00 PM on Saturday, July 23rd. It’ll be a few days before Anime Matsuri, so we’ll definitely have plenty to talk about during that call! Well, that about does it for us this month. As you can see from everything we’ve told you this month, things are really HEATING up around here. See what I did there?
