First Beeg Far-Fetched Preview!!!

Happy August, folks! Hope you enjoyed the little snippet of what's in store for Far-Fetched above this sentence you're reading. As you can see, this is our first big blog / update since revamping the Patreon to be focused primarily on Far-Fetched. Going forward, the goal of this page is going to be to help support the production of Far-Fetched as a series, complete with spiffy new reward tiers! We want to keep you guys up to date on the making of Far-Fetched as much as we can, so we’ll be aiming to do these big blog drops on the 15th of every month, just to keep you in the loop about anything new with bringing Sesamoid & their purple dog to life for your face-holes.

The big question we’re sure you’re all quaking in your boots to have answered is: “When exactly is Far-Fetched coming out?” So let’s try to break down exactly what our game-plan for the show is at this time. We’re currently in the trenches of production on our 8 minute pilot. It’s called “The Band That Wouldn’t Die”, and it’s the first big introduction to all of the main characters of Far-Fetched and will set the tone of what the actual series will be like. That’s right, you’ll finally get to see Rue, Kira, Quinn, Griff, Piper, Warren & Papa Swirl all together in action. The basic plot of the pilot is Sesamoid are trying to shoot a very low-budget music video at the now rundown Camp Crag, just outside of Veilport in the woods. Armed with a single camcorder and Quinn’s over-confidence, things begin to fall apart to MONSTROUS proportions.

Now I’m sure you’re sitting there saying, “Alright wise guys, you still haven’t answered my question from the previous paragraph. When EXACTLY is Far-Fetched coming out?”. The absolute truth is that we aren’t 100% certain at this time. Our dream goal is to release the pilot in late October / around Halloween. However, independent animation is an unpredictable beast with bumps in the road, so our safe goal is aiming to have it out sometime by the end of this year, if not a tad later. The main thing holding back our timeline at this point is our budget, which is exactly why this Patreon page exists. Our incredible team have been working their rear-ends off on bringing this thing to life, and we’re currently deep in the animation stage of the pilot’s production. To hold you over, we have a few things we’d like to show you!

In the future, we plan to share a deeper look at the Sesamoid gang's music, how it's produced and how we created the sound of the show as well as deep dives into the visuals, style development, production process, and more! If there are any specific elements you would like to learn more about please feel free to let us know!!! We want these updates to not just server as previews of Far-Fetched, but also a good window into the world of indie animation production.

Lastly, we wanted to quickly go over the plan for our monthly Discord Q&A’s for all $5 and up patrons. You’ll be able to ask Ashley and Dave all kinds of questions about the show, as well as occasionally having members of our cast and crew stop by that you can ask as well! The plan is to have them the following Sunday after the monthly blog post at 7:00 PM PST. If you can’t make it, don’t worry!
