Supporter Newsletter - October

Hello to all of our beautiful Supporters! I hope you have all had an amazing October so far and are excited about the Fall season. Halloween is also right around the corner so I hope you all have your super scary costumes ready to go. It's that time again for our monthly Supporter Newsletter so let's jump right into it.

To start off, I wanted to share with everyone that we're undergoing some further changes and a bit of a restructure internally. This is nothing bad by any means and we're not talking about removing a bunch of our current Admins or Moderators. What this will means is we're hoping to have more productivity and really create a better community. All in all, this is not something that should be completely visible to everyone externally but I wanted to keep you all posted and prepare you for a very bright future ahead for Requiem.

This month we kicked off a new event which is similar to our previously hosted Costume Contests. Now we have a Pip Costume Contest where you can draw/dress up Pip in the best outfit you can come up with. There has so far been some super amazing posts showing off some really cool outfits. It's going to come very close at the end to see who will win. It's hard for me to even just say one is better than another because they're all great!

Another reminder to you all that we have a DayZ Server and are venturing into DayZ further. With FaustKnight in the DayZ Lead position, we are incredibly confident that  we will create a very enjoyable community. This is part of our goals and mission to bring a larger community overall within Requiem for everyone to jump around through games as you meet new friends. Even if you meet someone from playing Sea of Thieves together, you can now both play on our DayZ server as well. This will keep you in the same community which is obviously the best around the internet, right?

Moving on to our expenses. Please note that all of these expenses do not include any extra revenue Requiem did not spend. A majority of the money spent has gone towards Staff Benefits (%29) which includes staff payments, team giveaways, officer of the month, sot officer plunder passes, etc. Our monthly normal savings (%20) go towards our charity events and taxes at the end of the year. An additional expense that we always have is our Server Hosting/Design Work (%18) which goes towards our VPS, Dedicated Machine Hosting, Graphic Design, Video Editing, etc. Our last monthly expense is our Events/Giveaways (33%) which goes to exactly what you'd think.

Hello lovely supporters! Ohhmai here, your Community Outreach!

Over the last month, I have been working hard to ensure community upkeep! I've been busy in the background trying to make overall moderation easier and more efficient for our staff, and, in extension, for you guys!

As many of you have heard, you can now connect to Discord Voice chats from your Xbox console. This is such an exciting update that will make speaking with your crew much easier for our console players! I know that we have been experiencing some issues being able to use this feature, but not to worry, we are on the case! We should have everything worked out soon and I will make sure to have some troubleshooting steps added to the help chat. Don't forget, you can always hop in the Help Desk or DM ModMail for support!

Once again, I want to thank you all for your continued support and I look forward to seeing you around the server!

Xoxo,
Ohhmai

Hello my favorite people!

It's that time again here on Requiem...

It's been a busy month on the Seas. We had one of the special "Community days" where all you Pirates gain extra experience and gold. Unfortunately, they removed gold hour for this one! What are your thoughts on this? I'd love to hear and have a chat how that decision effected your gameplay choices. Head over to one of our chats and feel free to start up a discussion!

We managed to host 11 Servers simultaneously for all our loot hungry pirates!  How was you experience with us on Requiem during that time, I'd love to get your feedback and what we did right and what you think we could fix or improve on. I know I had a great time with community day and made some memories with the staff and fellow pirates, feel free to share yours!

Speaking of chats and sharing ideas, Requiem now utilizes the "forum" feature for our suggestions. Have you had some time to check it out? It's an exciting change that allows us to streamline your suggestions, review each one and possibly implement in our community. Its you who affects those changes, feel free to drop us a line and let us know your thoughts.

As always, thank you for your continued patronage, its pirates like you that give us the ability to do great things for the Sea of Thieves community. We are here for you and the door is always open. Come say "Ahoy!" every now and then.

May the wind always be in your sails,

ElevatedMinds
Sea of Thieves Lead
