Supporter Newsletter - December

Hello to all of our beautiful Supporters! Happy December to each and every one of you! It's time for our favorite Holiday this month, Christmas. From the snowy nights by the fire (even though I wouldn't know because I'm in Florida) to the snowball fights during the day (still wouldn't know) we all know that Christmas is obviously the best, right? It's going to be a jam packed month for sure so let's just get right into it!

30K!!!!! OMG!!! We did it! What an amazing milestone to see our community reach such extraordinary numbers. It's completely surreal to me to think that just 2 years ago, Requiem began its journey into Sea of Thieves and everything changed. This community is amazing which is why we're hosting an awesome event alongside our newly reached milestone. You can join the Solar Team or Lunar Team to represent in the community and gain the shiny "30K" role in Discord. It's going to be a fun next couple of weeks while we roll out these challenges during this event for you all to enjoy.

You think the 30K Celebration is the only event happening this month though? No way, we've got much more in store for you. I mentioned last month about our nominations being opened for you all to nominate people for each category. Well, now it's time to vote for the top 4 nominated people so make sure you head over and get that done! ALSO, we're going to be hosting some fun Holiday themed events this month as well, with tons of warmth and giveaways for you all to enjoy. It's really going to be a packed full month so fasten your seatbelts and hold on tight!

Okay, let's jump into our expenses for the month of November. Please note that all of these expenses do not include any extra revenue Requiem did not spend. A majority of the money spent for November has gone towards Staff Benefits (%36) which includes staff payments, team giveaways, officer of the month, sot officer plunder passes, etc. Our monthly normal savings (%20) go towards our charity events and taxes at the end of the year. An additional expense that we always have is our Server Hosting/Design Work (%12) which goes towards our VPS, Dedicated Machine Hosting, Graphic Design, Video Editing, etc. Our last monthly expense is our Giveaways (32%) which goes to exactly what you'd think.

To end off everything from myself I just wanted to let you all know how thankful I am for this community. You're all amazing and I truly couldn't think of a better place to game with friends, than in Requiem. This place never ceases to amaze me and only gets better by the day so just continue being excellent selves and have a Merry Christmas! I love you all! <3

Happy December!

It is the best time of the year and I'm so excited for all of our Christmas and New Year events. Can you believe we finally hit our goal of 30,000 members? That's incredible! There are so many highlights we can look back at from this year for Requiem and it truly has been an amazing year for us. I will continue communicating directly with all of you amazing people as well as making sure our staff is happy because where would we be without you all? Holidays also call for lots of giveaways so I'll have my hands full making sure everyone gets their prizes as well as attending our end of the year award show so make sure you go vote! As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns you have and I'd love to chat with you about it. Stay safe and healthy during your celebrations and we'll talk again next year.

Happy Holidays,

Penny

Greetings everyone!

Final update of the year, it has gone by in a flash.  Most of our developers are busy in school or work so it is pretty quiet here.  We are all looking forward to spending some time on the seas during the holidays.  Next month we will start to plan the year out and will have more updates to share.  Happy Holidays everyone!

Hey there, Plucky here. With December upon us, the end of the year is in sight, and because of that I'd like to take a moment to reflect on the past year as a whole. To little surprise, Covid-19 continued to have an impact on our everyday lives. While the pandemic may have affected everyone around the world differently, everybody was affected in one way or another. Despite the challenging times we face, there is hope on the horizon. I hope that hope is shared amongst many of the people reading this.

The Event Team strives itself in being able to create new and exciting experiences for the community. That is the beautiful thing about gaming - it offers an escape from the challenges that we face on a daily basis, and allows us to live our biggest dreams and most extreme fantasies. I am fairly new to my position, having only led the Event Team for a few months, but I find it hard to summarise the event work that has been done during that time, and over the past year. From the launch of FiveM and our new Minecraft Survival Server, to adding new and improved events to our Sea of Thieves section, 2021 has been an exciting time for Requiem events.

With all of the events that have happened over the past year, I am extremely grateful for all of our Officers across the various teams for making these events happen with exceptionally high quality. It is also essential to show appreciation to all of our Moderators and Admins for always standing behind the Event Team in driving events forward.

It is an understatement to say that we have an outstanding staff team, but our staff would not be here without an even more amazing community to serve. Our members are the people who inspire us everyday to do the best work that we possibly can, and I can confirm that the best events are yet to come. With the festive season upon us, we have some exciting treats coming up. I can't wait to share this magical time with all of you.

From me and the rest of the Event Team, we send our warmest wishes for a happy holiday season, and the most joy possible as we write this final chapter of 2021.

Ahoy you barnacled buccaneers!

Yet another month has passed on the Sea of Thieves - and what a month it's been! Jam-packed with events and other activities to make the last minute plunder pass grind a bit more fun. And just as we recovered from force-feeding our pirates during the Thanksgiving Gold and Glory weekend Rare drops the trailer with the new seasonal update. So grab a grog and don your best party finery for Sea of Thieves Season Five’s boatload of Voyage-enhancing features.

Arguably, the biggest new addition is the ability to bury treasure. With the new update you'll be able to hide your treasure in the ground and leave it for others to dig up. This is something I personally waited for ever since, as it opens up a lot of new possibilities for for treasure hunting events and just adds to the fantasy of a pirates life. And you can finally take your rightful place at the captains table or sit together with your crew in the tavern and enjoy the new sea shanties or celebrate a successful voyage with fireworks.

No matter what style of scoundrel you play, there’s sure to be something for you to enjoy! And what place could be better to test it all out than one of our alliance servers at Requiem?

Howdy Supporters! For those that don’t know me I’m Roesch21 the Recruitment Lead. Recruitment has been really tough these last couple months. The team and I have been working hard to get players into our 2 newest games in Requiem, Minecraft and FiveM. It’s a grind but we’re getting there. Things have recently picked up for us and we finally hit our 30k goal! As always big thank you to all of you for believing in Requiem and supporting what we do here. Until next time…
