Supporter Newsletter - June

 Hello all of our beautiful Supporters! As I stated last month during our first Newsletter, that we would from now on be having little posts like these to update everyone on what’s going on in the Community and changes we’re looking to make so that we continue to shine! Along with the Supporter Newsletter, we also have a Community Newsletter that will touch on some things that won’t be talked about here. The Supporter Newsletter is meant to give you a bit more of a glimpse behind the Staff Curtain and talk about where our funds are being used each month.

As most of you may know, Sea of Thieves will be launching on Steam, June 3rd. I gotta say, I’m super excited for this launch even though they’re requiring you to buy the game there again even if you already own it. Having the game on Steam is going to reach a much larger audience of people that may have not even heard of Sea of Thieves before. With the launch on the 3rd, we’ll be doing a Giveaway of 2 Steam versions of the game that 2 people can win. The giveaway will start on the 3rd and the winners will be announced on the 7th, which is a Sunday. That’s not the only giveaway we’re going to do in celebration of the Steam Launch though, we’ll also be giving away 3 more copies on our Twitter, Discord and Twitch over the launch weekend.

The events we have upcoming are also going to be posted up on our Website Calendar each month, along with a Community Newsletter each month. We’ll be showing off the events and giveaways that are planned throughout that month so that our members know what to look forward to. Some things will be a bit sudden and we’ll surprise everyone on occasion but we mostly want to keep the Community in the light as much as possible so that everyone knows what’s happening. We don’t want to leave everyone guessing as to what’s happening and when the next event will be or what it may be. The one event I'll touch on briefly will be our Steam Launch Giveaway event as mentioned above which one of our winners will be chosen in Discord and anyone can enter to win by playing on our Alliance Server for at least 1 hour during the Steam Launch Weekend.

For the month of May, we didn’t spend as much money as usual on giveaways and such which I feel we’ll be making up with our upcoming Steam Sea of Thieves Giveaways. During May, the Supporter money went towards the normal services we have running like our Minecraft Server, VPS(Virtual Private Server), Premium Bot Management, Discord Nitro(As Needed) and we now upgraded our Google Drive Account for Staff which allows us to upload large files and such. We are also looking for a Video Editor within our Community that can help out with editing videos to post on our YouTube Channel. This will also be a service that we’re going to pay for, pretty much payment per video that is edited. We’re also now doing a Officer of the Month program which will start in June so that we can give back to the people really putting in the work to help the Community.

Lastly, we’re currently working on something big behind the scenes to hopefully bring some more competitive events into Requiem. One of the events we’re looking at currently is a Tournament Style PvP Event where crews can battle against each other for a cash prize. Some of our thoughts behind this and how it would work would make it a long lasting event that could go over a few weeks to a month or so. We’d like to allow any team to join into a Qualifying Round so that everyone has a shot to enter and win. Once qualified, you and your team will have to fight your way through the tournament to get first place. A lot of the details are still early and we’re working hard to get everything finalized in a good standing so that it’s as fair as possible for everyone participating.
