Speedrun Explained 60 (Update 4); Speedrun Explained 61 (Update 2); Speedrun Explained 62 (Update 1)

Hey all! The Half-Life 2 video is now out to the public, so no better time to post an update here on all the videos in development!

SPEEDRUN EXPLAINED #60

This is the upcoming Any% speedrun of Cuphead. In my previous updates, I've mentioned how this run has a lot of variance to it, with there being some ridiculous odds required to get perfect luck (something in the ballpark of 1 in 12.6 quintillion). To say that distilling all this run's info down to a 16,000 word script was a challenge is a bit of an understatement, but the script is finished, and I recently wrapped with filming for the full video and assembling that footage. In total, I filmed around 3.5 hours of footage, and cut that down to about 36 minutes that will be edited throughout the video. Right now it's looking like the video is going to end up being around 65 minutes long, give or take a few minutes (not accounting for the ad read). I'm incredibly happy with how it's shaping up. The tech explanations all feel really solid and I feel like by the end of writing, I had established a solid pace through the script to try and pause as minimally as possible (even then, I still have 36 minutes of filmed footage, 34 minutes of are for pause sections 😭). I mentioned before that I was hoping to have this video finished and out on Patreon by the end of this month, though that's off the table. I'm currently aiming to have this video done and out on Patreon by July 26, with the video releasing publicly by the end of July. Can't wait for you all to see.

SPEEDRUN EXPLAINED #61

This is the most recent Patron's Choice poll winner, The Simpson's: Hit & Run. I don't have a lot to add other than the run for the video has been recorded, and I recently had the call with the runner to go over the run. The runner is located in a much different timezone than mine, so I had to schedule our call for 3AM. I woke up at around 2:40, took my dogs out, and then hopped on the call at 3. The call went super smoothly and we actually flew through the run, with us ending the call right on the 2 hour mark. I was then able to crawl back into bed and get a couple hours of sleep before then waking up and working on the Cuphead video. Overall I'm super excited to get to this video! But it won't be for a bit that I really get to work on it, because despite this being SE61...

SPEEDRUN EXPLAINED #62

...this SPEEDRUN EXPLAINED is going to be coming out before it. Yesterday I returned to streaming after a couple month hiatus, picked back up speedrunning Fallout: New Vegas, and started re-learning the All Sleeping Partners speedrun. This is going to be the video after Cuphead and releasing in August, with SHAR likely not releasing until October. Returning to speedrunning Fallout was a blast, and I can't wait to get more familiar with the new route and grind it a bit.

Sorry for the long delay on these videos, and thank you for your patience! Here's to making every video better than the last. Hope you all are doing well :)
