Hey all! It's that time again. One week has passed since the sixth Patron's Choice SPEEDRUN EXPLAINED poll went up. This was the closest one yet, with it being tied less than 24 hours ago! I was actually planning on holding a tie-breaker vote over the weekend to determine a winner. But nonetheless, one speedrun pulled ahead in the end and has been crowned the victor. The winner, by ONE VOTE... IS...

Half-Life 2 - Any% No Voidclip!!!!! (full voting results image at bottom of post)

This is incredibly exciting, especially considering Half-Life was just covered on the channel. It'll be really fun covering this so soon after the first. I'm reaching out to a runner right away to get the ball rolling on this. As for where it slots in the schedule, this video will be coming out after the Baldur's Gate 3 video, which is slated as a January release. This Half-Life 2 run has a LOT going on in it, and I expect it will be a production cycle as a result. I think that it's reasonable to expect that it will release sometime in March. Of course, it's very hard to say since I haven't even reached out to the runner at this point, but just ballparking it right now. I'll have a much better idea later in January once I'm home from GDQ and working on it.
