"Patron's Choice" SPEEDRUN EXPLAINED Suggestion Thread
Added 2021-08-11 14:02:58 +0000 UTCHey all! The time is finally here for you all to suggest speedruns that will be covered in a future video! Right now the timeline is looking like this: next video is Dishonored 2 Any% (Emily), then likely a video after that of my choosing, and then the one after that will be the one you all decide through this event (since the deciding process for this will last about two weeks and I'll need to be getting started on my next next video before then).
A couple notes/rules:
1. The list is starting as empty. Any runs that were a part of the last poll where I filled out the list will not be a part of the poll by default. The only runs that will be on the poll will be of your choosing. I will be doing more polls where I choose the runs on it in the future where I re-use that list that was already existing, so only suggest a run that's on the previous list if you REALLY want it to be covered. Otherwise it'll be in another poll in the near future where I make the list.
2. Any runs suggested must be on speedrun.com and have its own leaderboard/category.
3. The run can be no longer than one hour in length.
4. Everyone gets TWO suggestions!
5. You cannot submit a run for a game that has been previously covered on the channel.
That's it! I'll let suggestions roll in for one week after this post going live, then I'll make the poll with all the options and let that run for one week as well before closing the poll and beginning to make the video! Looking forward to see what you all suggest!

It could be the fiber wire sa/so (silent assassin suit only) run or an accidents allowed run…all require strictly choreographed pathing and timing, and doing a speedrun in these games requires a ton of AI manipulation that I’ve always found interesting

2021-08-12 18:01:49 +0000 UTC1) Hollow Knight - No Major Glitches - Low% or True Ending Low% is around 45 min True Ending is just over 1 hour (about 1 hour 7 min) Can't think of another one so I'll say any of the any% Darksiders (except 3 which is like 3min in some cases so if you do 3, choose the 100% since it's around 1 hour) I literally know nothing about the speedruns for the Darksiders series. I was just looking for random speedruns that are around 1 hour long.

I think my next choice would be San Andreas but the Any% is not enjoyable and next shortest category is like 3 hours and 45 minutes. So I'll suggest the next best thing: GTA: Vice City Any% No SSU

2021-08-11 15:36:52 +0000 UTCI had a few games on my list: DreadOut Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs Hades Hollow knight Celeste Now since i dont know how well the later 3 will do for a speedrun explained video, let's stick with the first 2 (i can only submit 2 anyway). I also like the idea of a horror game, one of my favorite genres. I also really like the other suggestion of Resident Evil 2: Remake.

But I'll suggest them anyway. - Diablo 2 - Any% 1P Softcore Sorceress or Any% XP Softcore Soceress, they are more or less the same runs but included them both in case you can't contact the runner. - Skyrim - All Main Quests No Horse Tilts, because the Any% is too short.

2021-08-11 14:48:48 +0000 UTClove that you're doing this! let me get these out before i forget: -Rec 1: Hotline Miami any%, only about a 15 min run but seems super interesting tech-wise -Rec 2: on the longer end, Resident Evil 2: Remake, specifically the Leon A category since i feel like that's the one people are most familiar with. the top runs are around 51-55 minutes and its kinda goofy looking, which is fun. the claire category is also in the same time frame but a little shorter (48-51 mins) if you'd prefer that
