Untitled Video Project: Update 1

Hey all.

In previous updates (dating back to like April or so), I mentioned that I had an idea for a video that I would be making on the side of my SPEEDRUN EXPLAINED videos. Well that video has finally become the number one priority and I'm solely working on it now. In short, the premise of the video is this...

One of the most common questions speedrunners get is "how are these glitches even found?" A friend of mine who you guys might know as EZScape has a couple YouTube videos covering how some glitches were found, but his videos are more of a listing of the discoveries. My idea is to sit down and interview ~3 speedrunners about how they found certain glitches, how they work, and what their line of thinking was when they were either looking for or found the glitch, and then edit the interviews together into a video.

My goal is to not only give some insight into how some speedrunners think when they look for glitches, but also to use the platform I've built to give some other speedrunners a place to explain some cool work that they've done in their own words.

So far, I've finished two of the interviews, with the third being scheduled for tomorrow, and I'm currently editing down the audio for the first two interviews so that editing the video will be easier once I get to it.

As for what glitches/games will be included, I want the video to be pretty broad in terms of audience, and not necessarily targeting one type of gaming genre. For this reason, the games included are: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated, and The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening for the Switch.

While I've made an Oblivion video in the past, as well as a video on the original BfBB, none of the glitches in this video were included in any previous videos.

When will you all be able to see the video? The video will be released on my YouTube channel sometime between October 5th-10th, so I'd expect it released on Patreon sometime in the first few days of October.

That's all for this update. Stay safe everyone.

Oh and also I'm 99% sure what the next SPEEDRUN EXPLAINED video will be, but I'll let you know what run it is in the next update once that turns into 100%.
