State of the Update 3-30-2021

Hey everybody. I wanted to give you the latest status update on the game. I know, I know. I always say "this is the month" then miss the deadline. Which is gonna make the next news sound like the same old same old.

First the good news! All the render setups are done, meaning I don't have to worry about setting up scenes to render. No camera angles, lighting, characters, scenes, etc. That's all set.

Now the bad news. That means that there are around 150 images to render. They take a varying amount of time depending on scene complexity so they can range from around 10 minutes to at the very worst around 2 hours for huge scenes. On average that means about 6.25 days of pure rendering time if each scene was to take an hour to render.  I'm just going to leave my computer on to render 24/7.

They won't all take an hour though so it's a flexible timeframe. After those images are done rendering, I'm going to just do touch up post work on any that have glaring errors. Then implementation and testing. Then release to exile and sultan tier, followed by release to warrior tier, then finally to street rat tier. So that's all going to be april now.

I realize the constant delays are probably shaking your faith in me a little bit so I truly do appreciate your support and understanding. That being said, I also understand if you do decide to drop pledges. However, the update WILL drop in April and I'm estimating 2-3 hours of playtime as a conservative estimate. I really look forward to you all playing it.

As I said previously, in order to avoid the bloating that this chapter received in scale, I'll be both implementing progress tracker bars for all upcoming chapters as well as shortening update sizes for future chapters. Again, the chapters themselves won't be cut down or anything. I'll just release them in smaller chunks instead of just one giant release so you guys don't have to wait for an interminable amount of time between updates.
