Which will result in some bonus episodes for Patreon supporters. I will be releasing bonus episodes periodically but I don't know how often yet. Hopefully monthly!

A bug bounty hunter finds some incredible bugs at Instagram and reports them through the bug bounty program. But after that, it doesn't go as planned.

As I look up the story elsewhere, the Cambridge Analytica data harvesting was first reported in December 2015, which looks to be the month all this went down. I have to wonder whether this was an access point for outside people or organizations because FB said that they paid him even though others had reported the 1st vulnerability before him. Why hadn't they patched or corrected it? Clearly because they didn't want to. Of course, this is my opinion. Sounds like it ought to be an avenue attorneys explore in the facebook multi-district litigation.

I quickly assured his teachers that I'd help him get through the year, and that he was good to go with a bright future.

Another podcast I know (embedded.fm) uses some of their Patreon income to mail a decent USB microphone to the people they interview, and have them record their audio locally to avoid VoIP quality issues, maybe something to consider for interviewees who don’t have any half-decent mic hardware.
