A defiant stone crown atop its mountain peak, the Yamajiro has stood for centuries. Visible throughout the province, it is a comforting reminder during times of peace and a refuge for all when danger threatens.

Of late, the Daimyo has set up residence in the castle. Rumours swirl as to the reason. Is this on the advice of the Shaman who is always by their side? Did they fall out of favour with the Shogun by laughing at the wrong Kabuki gag? Has a bad Chō-Han run sent them running? Or, as is being mentioned more often, are they mad with unfounded fears?

Whatever the cause, while no rival clans have crossed the borders, things are far from idyllic. With a full, battle ready garrison parked for three seasons, tensions are high. Executions and seppuku have become regular events. Food is getting scarce. Having decimated the mountain's deer and boar population , the servants spend the daylight hours harvesting roots to be pickled for the winter. A siege now would be short.

Here is our Yamajiro map set. This set came about after another awesome suggestion from one of our magnificent patrons. (Keep the ideas coming). 14 Maps plus 24 roof and room assets. Interior and exterior maps with variants including day, night, sacked, astral and stables. Many options for parties, ranging from a simple dungeon bash, to complex investigations or maybe a classic ninja assassination to plot or thwart.
