Horses kicking up dust interrupts the villagers going about their day. The villagers trepidation turns to despair as the District Magistrate and cronies emerge from the dust cloud waving tax writs. This is an unprecedented third time for the season. A father's desperate pleas for lenience are ended with a boot to the face. Rice, kimchee and makgeolli are loaded onto the Magistrates' wagon. With the wagon's departure, many villages weep openly knowing their stores are not enough for the winter ahead. The steely eyed adopted son of the butcher has others plans, he picks up a cleaver and begins walking in the direction of the departing dust cloud.

Our penchant for Joseon Period Korean dramas has predictably translated to being included in our games. Here is our Joseon Village set, 13 maps all up plus 22 assets. Day, night, inferno and haunted variants are included as part of this set. Send the party out to challenge the corrupt officials or brig the rowdy peasants to heel.
