Happy New Year! (and talking about stuff)

Hello everybody and a happy new year!

I hope you had some nice holidays. Mine were very enjoyable. 

I want to address a few things for everyone involved now that the break month is over. Notably, the new schedule. I'm going for a 3 chapters per week schedule. One each on Saturday and Sunday, those are going to happen always. If they don't happen, I'm in the hospital or taking another break month. The third chapter will be on Wednesday. This one will be paused during exams preparation, meaning for all of February and a good bit of March. I'm also taking Monday and Friday as 'writing days'. Those can be for Owl or for other stuff, depending on how I feel. And I'm happy with just sitting down for 200 words as long as I write anything.

Now, what did I do in December? First of all: I didn't write Owl. At all. Not a single word. I almost expected that, to be honest. I did plan things out a little more clearly. I'm now going for the final push. somewhere between 120 and 150 chapters to go with two major arcs to write. I hope to be finished sometime in autumn, I know I will finish this year. I'm confident some of the scenes will get my motivation going, I just need to get out of the slump. The next chapter will be up in 2-3 hours. Generally, every upload will happen simultaneously for everyone. If it gets too much work, I might start scheduling RR again.

Not writing Owl was not everything I did, though. I worked on something new. Something that I'm confident will continue casually. Mondays and Fridays will likely be spent partially on that, at least. It's a Pokémon fanfiction. As such, it won't be up on Patreon exclusively. Copyright and stuff. I will put the chapters up here a few days before they go public just to get some potential feedback, at least for the first batch. I want to have at least ten chapters done and am at a little over five right now. 4k-5k words per chapter. The title is 'Return From Hisui' and takes an alternative to the plot of Pokemon Legends: Arceus with the 'player character' going back to the future after everything. Shenanigans ensue. It's a lot of fun to write. I'm planning to start releasing it sometime before April, we'll see.

That's all about writing. I'm going to have to look for a new place to live by the end of February. That might cut into writing time, especially when the move happens, but I'll tell you if it happens. My health is moving up, my Crohns taking a break from kicking my butt, and I won't have to take my medication anymore. Just doing the last bit of slowing down. Four more pills and I'm done for the foreseeable future. I'm hoping that will help my mental state as well. Finances are pretty secure as well since my student loan finally got approved. I'm don't have excess but I won't have to fear dropping patrons forcing me to find a job. I'll be able to save up a little over summer, most likely. That definitely helps my mental state.

tl;dr: Three chapter schedule for Owlnother World, Sat-Sun-Wed. Two chapter schedule in exam time (all of February and most of March). Owlnother World will be finished this year. I started writing a Pokémon fanfiction that won't have advance chapters on here. Release planned for sometime before April.
