This series will tell 2 stories, one that you're used to from me, a typical travel vlog, and one very different story.
The entire way I've wanted to delete the "other" half and keep the usual comedic travel video routine. But somewhere within I'm being pushed to go through with the idea.
Things haven't been going so great for me behind the veneer of online presence. I haven't been right for a while now.
I needed an out, a reset. So I set off on a long overdue journey to figure things out. It worked back in 2018 when I first set off in the ambulance and embarked into Vanlife (as cliché as that term is now) so I hoped it could work again. I had a destination in mind but no other plan from that, just like I used to.
Maybe along the way I'd get jolted back onto the rails I'd managed to fall off.

I could do with a long trip, but as the van is well and truly foobard, it will be a while before I can entertain an epic journey like you are doing. Saying this watching the vid, you can see your tension starting to dissipate and not allowing those intrusive thoughts beat you. Remember its ok not to be ok. Plenty of us around for you to call if you just need a natter so you don't feel alone. Or just to vent, get things off your chest and putting the world to rights. Keep ya chin up. You got this..

I’m doing my own van build at the moment, heavily inspired by you, a project I’ve been massively looking forward to for several years and yet at every step of the way my brain stops me from just enjoying the process, the challenges and the hard work. Im hoping to take a leaf out of your book and see if a short trip away in it (although very much not finished) might kick me back into gear a bit!

I'm sure you won't be judged for the way you need to handle this and I for one feel greatful that you trust me/us enough to let us in and share your life in every detail, good and bad. I can't help you with much but I can offer you a wonderful place to park up and chill if you're ever in The Shropshire Hills. It's a peice of land in the middle of nowhere, veiws to die for, no human interference, room for lance to run free and fantastic places to go for walks. I can provide electric charging point and water. There is composting on site. I am happy to send pics and video. Bring Emma too. Joe if he's around. It's safe, quiet and stunningly beautiful.
