Yeah this kinda feels like Dr. Mordin Solus' storyline from Mass Effect. Maelon did horrible experimentation, and he was set to continue if we didn't put a stop to him. But the data was invaluable for events to come

But given the fact that Caliban firebombed Max's house, brought a bunch of super villians to attack a high school field trip of kids that aren't at all connected to him or the doctor, and kidnapped Min... I hope that the Doctor actually just goes to jail... At any point Caliban could've told Max and his family what was going on, why he exists, the things he had to deal with. At any point he could've, maybe, had a family that could care for him. Instead, he decides to terrorize and brutalize them. Even now, he's dehumanizing Max, thinking him less than garbage... As soon as he's done killing the doc, he's gonna just go back and make MAx's life hell again.
