WATCH PARTY: KINGDOM Legendary War EP7

WATCH PARTY: KINGDOM Legendary War EP7

Comments

Why i can't watch the episode?

María

something to note is that for the jutaehyuk dance performance, one of the backup dancers actually tested positive for COVID. everyone on the competition got tested and is ok but juyeon, taeyang, and dk ended up quarantining together since they were in direct contact with the dancer, through which they actually got a lot closer. thankfully everyone is ok tho!

Holly

as a fellow atiny, uve said EVERYTHING that needed to be said (and what I wanted to say lol). also, with both last ep and this one, I believe the amount of Wommys has quadrupled 🤣🤣

MingkisWay

I swear lol both leaders, Chan and Hong, were so influenced by the performance they might as well been apart of it 🤣🤣🤣 (low key think that's Hongjoong voice on the hook tho 👀)

Ahh this ep was honestly my fav so far in Kingdom, the interactions between each artists was just so wholesome. Sunwoo giggling when he met Bobby was so cute!! It’s One had such a cool stage, I loved it. You can really see their individual talents highlighted, and obviously Bobby could have easily gone harder for this round but I feel like he let his hoobaes take the spotlight for this one. I listen to a lot of western hip hop and I dabble in khh but I feel like with a concept where there’s No Limit, It’s One could have done so much more with the creative freedom they were given in terms of concept. Also diss tracks are typical hip hop, but there was too much auto tune in my opinion which made for a lack of delivery. Mayfly’s rap unit stage was delivered really well. I don’t understand the controversy between khh/kpop still but I’m comparing Mayfly’s rap stage to the 20+ yrs of rap/hiphop I grew up w/ my entire life. They executed the assignment perfectly. This brought me back to how hip hop used to be when rap artists had meaning and when hiphop was at its incline in the 80’s/90’s/early 2000’s. With the way the world is right now, we NEEDED this message to be heard. They left impact in the story and message they wanted to convey and they individually rapped in their own styles. The diction, styles and flows might have been different from each member but like their song mentioned, when you mix all these varieties of colors together it creates a masterpiece and that’s exactly what they did.

3RACHA SAUCE

Mayfly really needs to do some kind of a special performance at mama or sth, this can't be the end of that precious unit.

iwo

Wooyoung climbed the 7ft tower of people, jumped down from said 7ft tower of people, then ran to prepare for catching Felix within 10 second time span with his strong ass thighs T.T

For me the rap stage I definitely prefer 5RACHA because it's just more the type of rap I like to listen to compared to It's One (although they were still fantastic and I loved watching them hang out). I really can't pick between the dance stages, because they are just so different. Because of my biases for Mayfly team being stronger I might pick Mayfly team but honestly, It's One stage was just beautiful. I feel like Mayfly teams did feel more unified for me so far, but it might be just because they have more members, so there were more people to interact and bounce off from each other. I'll see how the vocal groups will be, especially as for them, It's One has more members. I'm sure that helps. But we'll see

Actually I feel the opposite way. I thought mayfly really became 1 unit. (while its1 rap team is more like bobby & friends). Either way, all the performances are fire and the results really came down to preferences of the judging panel. I mean, how do you fairly judge a more contemporary piece to “wolf”? They’re totally different styles.

Hello Stranger

Petition to get 5RACHA to MAMA 2021 and Grammy's 2022 😂 I'm a full time Atiny but fr, I loved all the stages and group interactions. Sunwoo was adorable, I am in love with Taeyang and Bobby is the GOAT, enough said! Seeing Hongjoong so bubbly and giggly in the presence of other rap geniuses had me hype asf, the bonding between ATZ x SKZ x BTOB was so precious, Woolix was too much to handle. I still can't believe Wooyoung had like 5 seconds to jump off a human mountain, run to another stage and get in position (on top of more humans) before a rogue Felix came FLYING at him in combat boots 😭 he said later when he went to shower he had some big thigh bruises but that he was fine bc Lix was so light. Also I'm so close to calling an exorcist for San. ATZ went live after the ep aired (San/Hwa/Yunho) and mentioned how their unit gc was still active and they were sending pics of them watching their stage 😭I wish all the eps were like this, collabs and interactions only 😩can't wait for the vocal units.

Naia19

I prefer Team It's One for both Stages, mostly because the Mayfly Team Stages just felt like MAMA Special Collabs for me and the It's one Stages were more "Artist" than "Idol". I hate to say it that way but it's 8am and my brain isn't awake enough yet to translate it in another way so it won't sound that weird.

BaoziBang

It's hilarious that mnet cut out every single time Bobby said: "running away from your bullshit" 🤣 The Wordplay in Full DaSH is amazing. I mean even their title has a double meaning.

BaoziBang

Like Lee Know said in the episode - it's all down to personal preferences. I preferred Mayfly for both (I'm prolly gonna skip the vocals just bc I know myself and that's just 100% not my thing I'm way too adhd for ballads) just because for the dance - visually engaging, singing to engage another part of my brain, JUST CHOI SATAN LETTING RIP - and Eden-ary did their magic and turned Wolf from a song that made me want to stab pencils in my ears from the original arrangement into something I can listen to a lot. (idk what phase SM was going through at the time, but there were a lot of misses for me) The rap unit - again, visual engagement was a major plus, but it also took me back to a tiny me watching MTV - that 1980s/1990s style of hip hop that was out, spreading awareness of social issues and chiding those that want to keep things as the status quo. Using painting as a metaphor for both music and racism was amazing just *mind blown* - there's no bad color, mix it all together and see what comes out. (And yeah Channie you can pretend you didn't say 'sh*t' in the lyrics all you want, the autotune was on and I heard you over the backtrack lmao)

Aislin

Chan said he was so immersed in the performance he feel like he's turning into wolf HAHAHAHAH i was laughing, his reaction was so funny
