PENTAGON "Shine+Spring Snow" on Road To Kingdom

A few side notes about the Shine + Spring Snow performance. The Boyz chose Pentagon to go first that round. Poor ONF had to follow that! The message in the middle was kept secret from Jinho, so he was totally surprised and moved. (They had a lot of faith in his vocal prowess to put something so moving in the middle of a performance where they knew he would sing most of the rest of the song!) If you listen closely or watch the fan cams, you can hear Hui crying during the video montage. He was crying so hard even after the performance. Jinho is a vocal legend, he sang everything, save the last note, perfectly even though he was crying his eyes out. Afterwards, a member of one of the other groups (I think he was from TOO) said he hoped someday his group would be that close.

The one beautiful thing that happened to Pentagon after RTK is they finally won their 1st music show win with Daisy. Imagine in 4 years of their career, they finally got a win. It was very emotional especially since Jinho's words about their talent being recognized kind of resonated to Universes (fandom name) so much at that time. And now, they've also hit #1 on Genie with their latest title track called Do or Not. I'm just really proud of them. They always do their own thing and they have such beautiful music.

There's a lovely moment right at the end of this performance where Jinho tells his members that in all the years he has been with them, he's never been unhappy. And he tells them to be patient and that their talents will be recognised. It's so sweet, and literally not only Pentagon but all the other boys watching are sobbing, and I'm sure the make up artists ended up crying both about Jinho and about having to fix everyone after the performance :P The female host of the show didn't even come back on in the next segment because she was crying so much, and I think most people who watched it could empathise

This clip still makes me teary even after having seeing it a million times by now. The songs in the clip were a mashup of Shine and Spring Snow, the latter is a B side and it is based on the fact that during Shine MV filming it snowed despite being springtime, so the song is a way of saying they hope for a spring snow magic of making Shine go viral to come again. I loved the idea of having fun last trup together while celebrating Jinho before he left. I also appreciated that they left the Spring Snow singing completely to Jinho and he was the main focuse, which I tought was really sweet as well. And the change of lyrics at the end hits hard everytime. It's crazy that Jinho is 2/3 done by now, and Hui just started his own enlistment...The last song they were all 9 for was Shalala in 2019. Thank you for reacting to so many requests (there were a few!), glad you enjoyed! And yes to the purple streaks btw!

OMG this made me cry so much. I watched it before watching RTK, and then I cried again actually watching the show all the way through. Like I don’t think this will never not make me shed at least one tear. And THEN I got emotional a couple months ago bc Hui left for the military. 🤧😭 This group I swear, I love them so much and how hardworking they are.
