For me, the main reason why this cover stage stands out amongst many idol cover stages is that they did not use the backing vocal track and sang completely live. Nowadays in k-pop that is such a rare sight and it was so awesome to see idols holding hand mics and giving us their real vocals without the backup in the background. ^^
