(WIP) Kara's Appendectomy

I realize I have been gone for a while.

I would like to apologize.

I have been having trouble with staying on a singular project and also being unsatisfied with various unfinished states of projects making me avoid releasing them out of fear of them being too unfinished yet.

But today I would like to let you in on at least one of the things I have been doing recently:

Meet Kara.

Kara is the just slighty too chubby, but very down to earth and cheerful daughter of a dental surgeon. (a little similar to a previous character of mine) There will be other adventures of her mother's work with Kara's assistance, but today she needs help herself.

Having been haunted by sudden and terrible abdominal pain one morning, Kara was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and just as promptly she awaiting surgery at the local hospital.

The routine procedure will be performed through laparoscopy, therefore letting Kara hope to doge an extended stay in a place where wearing gowns is mandatory.

Of course that still entails a major and painful intrusion into her body, so general anesthesia is still unavoidable for her.

Though she knows well what anesthesia is from her mother and is generally a very chill personality, Kara's heart can't help but start thumping more heavily as she gets wheeled to the operating room by the a nurse. She knows just how routine her procedure must be for the people that will be performing it and she'll be sleeping through all of it. Yet, she just couldn't avoid pondering the image of being the body to be operated on for at least a moment.

Despite having assisted her mother with procedures anesthetised patients heself and knowing how little she cared, being the patient now...Why does she still feel a little embarrassed?

And now with being pushed from her bed, onto what's clearly the operating table, the tension rises, as the remaining seconds she still has are draining away incomprehensibly fast.

And her expectations are met, as the doctor asks her about her hobbies, whilst emptying a suspicious syringe into the tube penetrating her skin and feeding into her bloodstream.

She knows what's up and yet she promptly takes the doctor up on her distraction. Beginning to explain her favorite video games in earnest.

And just as planned, she does not get particularly far.

And last, but not least:

I have also dipped my toes into testing out animations.

Movements are still a little robot like and it is not too much, but please let me know if those movements do help bring the story to life.
