Timestretching drums sucks! Uncle Fanu is not happy with your beats.

I was having a great day on the balcony until…well you just have to watch it and see.

The first 25 seconds may be among the worst cinematography you’ve seen. Or maybe it’s the best?

Then again you just have to watch it and see.

Trying to get to grips will efficient drums chopping on Bitwig (there’s a few different options; will try to figure them all out) and quickly revisiting the Ableton side of things there too.

By the way, do you need drumloop samples? Find plenty in my samples shop…chop chop!

Man, I will definitely have to do this too if you didn't already cover it...after I finish getting properly acquainted with how it all works. Im finding they haven't really got a solution yet for being able to simply change the pitch of sample/audio clips outside of Timestretch. Similar to how in Live we can adjust on the fly without using any Warp algorithms, the closest they appear to have is "Repitch" but that is very limited and it is also synced with the song tempo, which really messes things up if you have to adjust that. Nor is there a way to adjust pitch to a lot of samples... But again, still getting used to how it all works and finding my way around. There are workarounds, but they do not seem that ideal. Ive been having discussions on their discord with other users.

Bitwig is great! I recently sent them a long list of small improvements I'd like to see.

Happy to hear I was able to help! It's one of those techniques that's quite easy to do, and when done right, really helps making it all sound natural, like you can't even hear it...which is what we want with proper drums :)

learning about pingpong looping (from you) saved my breakbeat life. been doing this ever since i saw you vids on it some years ago. i used to manually edit and save every individual hit in CoolEditPro2 and when needed. id go in and extend hits by copy+paste the tail end to another track, smooth w fades , reverse it, copy+special paste (blend) w the original, and repeat w forward tail end as many times as needed...it was a pain to say the least. this is so much easier
