Source Direct: "Stars" [Fanu remix] walkthrough (video + samples)

A walkthru of Source Direct: “Stars” (Fanu remix) that recently came out on Odysee Recordings (vinyl is still available in some stores such as HHV).

Talking about my sample choices, song aesthetics, arrangement, showing some of the processing etc.

Sorry it took a while – I know I promised this a while ago. What happened with this one was that audio and video ended up WAY out of sync (long story, technical FPS issues or something between different capture sources), and it was a painful job to manually somewhat fix it all thru the video...took wayyy longer than planning and doing the video...but here it is!

I rarely do Youtube anymore, but I'm trying to grow my audience and also promised the label to promote the release a bit, so wanted to go Youtube for this one.

EXCLUSIVE CONTENT WILL CONTINUE. I'm not planning on going all Youtube, so don't you worry.

Got some mixing tips lined up, Breakbeat Of The Month for May, got at least 1 plugin giveaway coming very soon, etc etc…thanks for being me on this ride!

Yea it’s a nightmare but I’ve done exactly the same thing before. Walkthrough looks interesting. Will check out when am home later ✌️

Thanks man, I appreciate it! I use Screenflow. What you described sounds mega useful! I think is because I use Camo app to enable my iPhone as a camera, but if I initially forget to set Camo and SF to use the same FPS, the result is a mess. This has happened before – it’s just it’s been a while since I’ve used SF+Camo…well, lesson learned (again), and I hope I’ll finally remember to fix the settings in the future!

If this ever happens again there is an easy fix to get the audio/video from two different fps to line up. In premier pro you can use the time-stretch tool to line up both perfectly. The audio might pick up a few minor artifacts but it’s way better than chopping manually and realigning it all!
