Mix tip: keep an element on top of the mix

This year I'll be giving you plenty of mix and master tips in the form of smaller nuggets.

Today, let's talk about how to keep an element on top of the mix. The techniques I use are basic yet efficient, and that is all that matters. When you have a vocal or some important element in the song that has to take the lead, this should help.

What I am doing here is sort of subtle, but you can use this technique much more aggressively if you want

Anyone want to see how to do this with Ableton Live natively btw? Can be done!

Any Qs, holler!

Will also soon give you a bigger update on all things here. Believe it or not, I was more or less for over two weeks, and today seems to be the day, FINALLY, that I feel better, so wanted to make this video for ya'll immediately.

New EP drops soon soon.

More mix and plugin tips will come steadily, you just wait!

Yeah that's a sick track. I dunno if you know the "Reebok or Nike" video…the client ordered an extra version of that sample in the beginning to play at a bachelor party :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQ4c54rCJ_k
