Thank you / new year's resolutions / what's ahead

I hope everyone's had a really good and inspirational holiday period!

As the old year comes to a close and a new one is around the corner, I first wanted to say big thanks to everyone who's here and supporting my Patreon.
It honestly means a lot to me, and I think this year has been the best so far.

Some of you I've mentored and seen your musical progress, I've had many good talks with you about plugins etc., and I always enjoy that.
Some of you I've had nerdy breakbeat discussions and I've also been happy to send some of you breaks from my collection.
I really appreciate each and every supporter here.

I've even been having some careful thoughts about mmmmaybe doing a bit less audio engineering and doing even more content (and also personal tuition)…that's a careful thought I've found myself having as I've been taking 2 weeks off.

btw, Did you finish music on holidays?
I did: my 16-track album. I had 3 songs waiting to get wrapped, and I did finish those and also got a remix job half done.
Albums always takes some serious work, and it's always a relief to call one done.
Looking at April/May release, maybe.

New Metalheadz EP drops late Feb, and I may actually cover all of the songs in a walkthru fashion.
Or instead of walkthru every time, I might even talk a bit more about sound choices and get more nerdy with plugins…what do you think?
The recent Legacy one covered song structure more than anything else, reason being I feel that's one of the areas that gets covered the least (where there's always sound design videos floating around).
So that EP will def result in new video material.

Drum chopping content will most definitely come, as I love doing it, and it's much requested.

Also, will soon drop a Serum bass design video as I was brewing on something pretty interesting on the holidays (every now and then I do refreshers with some plugins I own just to stay sharp with them, so lemme soon share with you some nice tips etc).

I also just got a super interesting new synth/sampler plugin for testing, which I may want to be covering....very Elektron-like!

So yeah, if there's one thing I will promise for 2023, it's that there won't be end for content!

Do you have any new year's resolutions?
Let me hear!
I actually don't have any: getting that album done was a big one for this year.
One thing that interests/fascinates me even more is chords, so chords in my music will be even more prominent.
Maybe a few more videos filming my music gear would be interesting.

Oh and I'm starting a monthly DJ stream via Twitch!
That's a biggie in a way.
First session is Jan 1, 2023, Sunday.
Jan 1, 2023
13:00 GMT / 15:00 CEST
All shows will  be downloadable from Patreon.
Twitch channel is here.

Anyways, thanks once more…thanks for being here and have a great 2023…I'll talk to you then!

late happy new year. congrats on the album completion. 16 tracks! Cant wait to hear the new stuff. My goal is to get over the beast that stands in the way; mastering. Finally start releasing music again. Its funny how times have changed. (early 2000s) I used to simply look at the waves in cool edit, normalize and abuse that Hard Limiting process till it sounded loud enough. lol.

Thanks and likewise man. That’s a good resolution; once you get yourself into the song finishing mood, things just happen. Glad you liked the content; more breaks and other content will come for sure!

Happy new year Janne, loved the content this year, particularly the Headz walkthrough. Looking forward to some break chopping wisdom for sure. NY resolution: finish more tunes!

Haha I’ve heard about that rabbit hole many times and consciously stayed far :D Enjoy it – bet it’s a lot of fun. Wishing you an inspirational 2023!

Happy almost new year! Looking forward to hearing them chords in '23! No resolutions here either, but my slow fall into the Eurorack rabbit hole has finally become a proper descend, so there's gonna be a lot of patching, learning, and then patching and learning again.

All Hail Eris
