Seems the Loud Split plugin of Bitwig's new Spectral pack is pretty nice for controlling the amount of noise in a signal.
Making drums less noisy here, and also going super noisy!
It's interesting, as good denoising isn't always a walk in the park, but this new type of loud/quiet split tool should be good for that (this should be a good tool for dialogue denoising, too).
PS: I’ve seen these paid Bitwig plugins have caused an uproar. I'll stay out of that topic.
Audio engineering is my living, and this is a good tool for that. This'll help me in my work every now and then, so in that regard, the expense is OK to me.

Nice one, that sounds good! Yeah I've never liked wide transients; doesn't sound right to me. I'll try doing this!

2022-10-12 06:35:53 +0000 UTCI like using Transient Split, and just putting a stereo widener in the tones FX box, leaving the transients untouched. Stereo width without messing up the hits.
