Liam Payne Interview on The Diary Of A CEO Part 4

Liam Payne Interview on The Diary Of A CEO Part 4

Comments

I can't remember which interview it was from, cause I've watched a lot of them. But I remember Liam once said that he needed the band to end, that in the end he couldn't get on stage without being drunk. That he knew the exact amount of alcohol he needed to have to keep going. I think that, as much as he wanted the singing career and success and everything that came with 1D, it was killing him. And for him the band ending was a matter of survival and he truly was relieved when it happened. As time went by he started missing it a bit. But I do think he truly meant it when he said that his thoughts were "thank Lord for that" when the breakup happened.

I actually disagree that Liam needed 1D to reunite. It was obvious towards the end of 1D that his mental health wasn’t the best. The only reason he would talk about a reunion is because that’s all people would ask him about. Liam liked to reminisce about the good times but that’s completely different than wanting a reunion. You can reminisce about something without wanting it back. What he was most looking forward to was releasing his second album, proving himself as a solo artist and finally go on tour. What Liam truly needed was therapy and better people surrounding him πŸ˜”

Great reaction guys! Sorry for the long comment, but I have some thoughts about this interview. But first, thank you guys so much for reacting to this interview and thank you to everyone who contributed to paying for them to react to this. Some parts of this interview really made me sad. I really hope he is now finding the peace that he was still so obviously searching for in this interview. I do agree with you guys that when Liam was saying certain things like saying he respected himself, everything's fine, and the other things he said, it sounded more like he was trying to convince himself and Steve that that was what was going on, even though he still had things to work out within himself. Also, what you guys said about when Liam was saying he was glad One Direction ended. I think he was referencing more how he felt while it was happening. I think as time went on, he missed it a lot and wanted the band to reunite. In fact, he even said something along those lines in one of the earlier parts of this interview, that he'd rather talk about the reunion "sooner rather than later." I feel like he was the only member who would talk about One Direction like he was still in the band. There are a lot of fans who even said that he was the biggest 1D fan out of the entire fanbase and that he was "keeping the fandom alive." He would constantly reference reunions, memories, and songs in interviews as well as livestreams that he did on social media. He even made an entire video on his Official YouTube Channel entitled, "One Direction Memories" where he watched old 1D clips and talked about the memories from them. I feel he truly missed those days the longer he was away from it. He didn't want a reunion, he needed it. One last thing, I promise. Have you guys gotten any requests to do Liam's LP Show Act 4? If not, someone (or a group of you) needs to request it. Some of the videos of that show skip quite a lot, so you would have to check that it doesn't skip. I don't have enough money to or else I would request it myself. Seeing Liam so happy performing the old 1D songs should prove to anyone just how much he loved being in the band and how much he missed it. Thanks again guys!
