2025-10-03 20:59:29 +0000 UTCI would have preferred that you started with 'Knowing Me, Knowing You, since that's what a lot of this episode is referencing and knowing Alan from that makes you appreciate this series more. But it's okay, it's great that you've kinda got the comedy of him straight away. But definitely go back to 'Knowing Me, Knowing You' once you've finished this, kinda like a prequel. XD

Only some basic show summary ahead, no spoilers. The Day Today - which is a spoof news show featuring Alan doing the sports news. This is to my knowledge his first tv appearance. There was a radio show of this before. Knowing Me Knowing You - this was Alan’s first show, it’s a chat show. This is what he wanted a second series of. This was followed by a Christmas special. I’m Alan Partridge series 1 & 2 Mid Morning Matters series 1 & 2 - set entirely in a radio station, pretty much one or two rooms. Don’t let that put you off, it’s just watching Alan and his new sidekick, Simon, do the radio. It’s very funny, it’s just different to the previous show. Alan Partridge Welcome To The Places Of My Life - a one off documentary style special. Alan Partridge On Open Books - another special with Alan as a guest talking about his new book. Alan Partridge Alpha Papa movie - shows don’t usually translate very well to film but this is excellent in my opinion, very funny, good storyline and lots of quotable dialogue. Alan Partridge’s Scissored Isles - another documentary style special. This Time with Alan Partridge series 1 & 2 - Alan is the co-host of a new BBC chat show How Are You? It’s Alan series 1 - his latest series I don’t think I’ve missed anything, i left out his other appearances on charity events and stand up live shows. Hope this helps, i know it’s a lot.
