This is what I was talking about the show raises the bar and it’s a combination of the fact that you know the characters better and the writing is brilliant. Thanks for another great reaction 😊

2025-10-12 21:24:30 +0000 UTCI don't think Jack was dreaming about being on the boat, but he probably thought he was.

2025-10-11 12:10:02 +0000 UTCI would rather be stuck with Father Stone out of him and Father Noel. Out of Father Stone and the laughing Priest? Father Stone.

2025-10-11 12:06:10 +0000 UTCYou see the lamp on the table? It will be run off paraffin. In the 70's we had lots of powercuts. I was told it was due to the electricity board going on strike, but I couldn't say. So in the evening, we had no electric and had to use those lamps or candles. I was just a child. They didn't switch it off during the day, due to people cooking, so it was switched off at night. It was just for a few hours a night.

2025-10-11 12:02:22 +0000 UTCThey are hiring the caravan off a friend. Ted said it's twice as big as the one they stayed in before. So you can imagine how small the other one was.

2025-10-11 11:20:54 +0000 UTCWe can't get Marathon Bars anymore. Ours switched to Snickers.

2025-10-11 11:12:33 +0000 UTCi don't believe it

2025-09-30 08:52:37 +0000 UTCI wont be renewing my subscription once this month is over. I did it this time as a treat for myself. So I guess I will have to wait for you to react to more Father Ted on Y/Tube.

2025-09-30 08:42:55 +0000 UTCAh yeah we got that 😁

2025-09-23 14:04:34 +0000 UTCAt least you know now, Father Noel is Graham Norton.
Jules
2025-09-23 13:28:02 +0000 UTCYou 2 didn't seem to make the connection. Ted asked was it (Jacks) bath, then realised he had had a bath just before Christmas. That means Jack hadn't bathed for 7 months.
Jules
2025-09-23 13:22:09 +0000 UTCIt was the Bishop and a cup of tea in The Passion of St Tibulus episode. Mrs Doyle said if he didn't take the tea, he would be piggy in the middle. Then she started singing Bishop piggy in the middle so Ted advised him to say yes because it's easier. They wont do that again or it will take some of the fun out of the script.
Jules
2025-09-23 13:02:13 +0000 UTCOh no, final episode kinda stinks? I personally didn’t enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed series 2, and maybe that’s because of all the politics side of things where I just don’t know about them and it’s probably funnier if you know what they’re talking about.

2025-09-23 05:00:27 +0000 UTCEnergizer bunny is actually what I meant! 😂

2025-09-23 04:59:12 +0000 UTC32:15 - Gotta be honest, as much as I loved series 1 in 1995 (it was unique and ground-breaking back then!), every single episode of series 2 is better than every single episode of series 1... But then every single episode of series 3 is better than every single episode of series 2... Except for, sadly enough, the final episode. :/

2025-09-22 23:12:52 +0000 UTCAnd it is so simple yet so effective that to people of a certain age "small, far away" is an instant way of calling someone stupid.

2025-09-22 23:02:14 +0000 UTCHearing Americans talk about the Duracell Bunny instead of the Energizer Bunny is peak British Reaction Channel. :)

2025-09-22 22:59:58 +0000 UTC25:40 - Wow, Taylor coming up with questions I've never considered in 30 years of being a Father Ted fan and Steve instantly coming up with the right answer. Yep, father Stone is the best choice, but father "Ha ha" Dunn is the definite second place out of those three. I'd rather listen to unhinged laughing compared to some obnoxious irritating self-loving twat who just won't shut the fuck up. ...Which is kind of ironic because pretty much solidly since this aired, Graham Norton has had never ending chat shows on British TV!!! (ALL OF WHICH I'VE HATED!!!!)

2025-09-22 22:57:11 +0000 UTCTravel Scrabble is the same game as Scrabble, but the board has a plastic grid which keeps the tiles in place so that it can be easily moved without destroying the played words.

2025-09-22 22:40:13 +0000 UTCAbout Marathon / Snickers - Originally, in the UK and Ireland, Mars produced Snickers under the name "Marathon", as "Snickers" was considered a bit too close "knickers" - which is what we call women's panties. However, to make sponsorship of televised sporting events universal across Europe, they gave in and renamed Marathon to the international name of Snickers in 1990. This is different to the US where Marathon is a competing brand producing their own off-brand Snickers bars.

2025-09-22 22:22:55 +0000 UTCThinking Graham was German 😂 I nearly choked on my drink.

2025-09-22 20:41:35 +0000 UTCThere are 2 eps of Father Ted I remember really liking... S2 E5 'A Song for Eurovision' and S2 E11 'A Christmassy Ted' 👌

2025-09-22 11:52:12 +0000 UTCThat silence from Stephen after seeing that taylor has more irn bru left than him 6:33

2025-09-22 10:31:17 +0000 UTCI think the second series onwards has a much better pace, it’s more chaotic, better storyline’s or situations and there’s so many memorable characters. I love how each new priest we meet has a certain thing about them, like one that can’t stop talking, one that can’t stop dancing, one that gets killed over and over. Great reaction, it was also funny watching Taylor mimicking Graham Norton’s facial expressions at one point.

2025-09-22 09:40:48 +0000 UTCDon't worry, Larry Duff lives on. It's a running joke. They're always killing him 😂

2025-09-22 08:17:54 +0000 UTCThe “small, far away” scene wasn’t in the script. Dermot and Ardal ad-libbed it in rehearsals and the writers loved the improv so much, they quickly pencilled it in.
Steve Webster
2025-09-22 07:55:17 +0000 UTCAlso the puppy sad eyes you gave, Stephen, looking at your 99% empty bottle of irn bru 😂😂😂

2025-09-22 07:26:24 +0000 UTCLove this show. Same writer did IT Crowd, you guys should have that lined up to watch in the future sometime

2025-09-22 07:20:57 +0000 UTCThe show just gets better from here. My favourite episode is The Mainland.
