LGR - Hori TAC Pro - PS4 Keyboard & Mouse Review

I love the concept, but really… it is the kind of gizmo that just doesn't sound right in practice. Dealing with so many games and differing input behaviours is always gonna make a mess of it. Also feels like a mix-mash product - most peeps who want a keyboard/mouse are probably playing on PC anyway :) (Also, I need to keep an eye on ordering one of those Ducky mice it sounds like - not really a big fan of modern gaming mice these days… ;) )

Happy to have helped with some illumination then :) It's been a problem for years with similar devices, which is why I'm always super skeptical of these things. Only times I've had a nice mouse and keyboard console experience are with games designed for it -- Unreal Tournament on the Sega Dreamcast for instance, which plays pretty much just like the PC.

I've learned something, here. It never dawned on me that emulating the analog controller might be why mouse and keyboard setups never seem right on a console. That makes perfect sense. I never thought about why they didn't work as well as I hoped.

Absolutely. I'm not in the habit of even buying FPS games on the PS4 and didn't even own any until this video, much less wanting a dedicated controller for them!

Not to mention so many of the games you would want to use this with on the PS3/4 are ALSO available on PC, so if you wanted PC controls you would undoubtedly already have the PC version. :P

My short review is: BUY ONE. Haha, it's really just a great mouse if you like simplicity and a classic shape without much extra fluff. I love the fact that it has no software, all the settings you need to adjust are done on the mouse itself. Really quality stuff.

Can you make a short review of your Ducky Mouse. Kinda surprised here...I own two Ducky Keyboards with nice extra Ducky caps myself.
