Nice. I wish there were more around me of any kind of decent quality!

I am lucky enough to have two fully maintained arcades in my city, these always claim the lives of at least a few quarters/tokens.

The only time I saw a coin pusher was in an episode of Mr Bean where he cheats by smashing into it, although it doesn't exactly turn out the way he plans... ;)

I never knew these things existed until now... Although I was into something similar as a kid where you would roll coins down lanes to try and hit things to score tickets. Also, any particular reason why this video's been set so it can only be watched on YouTube and not from other websites like Patreon?

Weird, when I try to play the video here it says you have disabled video playback on other websites than YouTube...

Performance issues aside, a lot of these are meant to run on much smaller devices than I use, so I'm sure it's all a factor! But just once I'd like to see one with proper dimensions :)

I like the variety. As always great video and very interesting hearing your take on these. I have never given these machines a 2nd look out and about but watching you cover it makes it interesting for me! I won't be downloading a mobile version but it was also interesting to find they actually had hundreds of those games on android too. Also, thanks for Thrifting so I don't have to! I save so much time just watching your loot.. And I don't need to store anything! Win-Win!

I wonder if all the games use big coins because of performance issues. If the machine had lots of small coins the tiny mobile phone would have to calculate a lot of movements. We need CUDA engine for the mobile.

Nah, I can't say I prefer them over pinball or anything, since they're far more devious in removing your money from your wallet and have far less skill involved :) But I really can't resist playing one if I see it!

I don't think it's necessary to pay with real currency. After all, I love playing pinball machines on freeplay! Sure, something is lost when you're not paying for each game, but if the game itself is solid and enjoyable I don't think you need it. If anything, I really enjoy the physical aspect of coin dozers, much like pinball machines. If a simulation got that right, with all the nuances and strategic things involved, it'd be great in in my eyes :)

LGR is, and has always been, a variety channel. I cover everything from computer games, to consoles, to thrift stores, to toys filled with water. I'm sorry if you don't like that fact, but it's been that way since day one!
That said, don't worry about it. One video that's not on a PC game doesn't mean those videos are going anywhere. After all, my very logo is a classic PC, so that should tell you that PCs are my biggest interest. So hopefully something else in the future will interest you more, that's the beauty of such a channel, I think :)
Thanks for watching and for the feedback!

I prefer you review computer games than phone games. I'm not a fan of the "so bad it's good" philosophy. I didn't have any expectation the mobile dozer games would be good, but I also don't play physical coin dozers. Anyway, keep up the great videos. If you think reviewing phone games will draw a larger audience, go for it, but don't cut back on the PC stuff too much!

As a hobbyist game developer, this kind of has be interested on some level. I loved these games growing up, and can't help but gamble on them if I see them. I feel like the only way to simulate the feeling is to actually have real betting mechanics and REAL physics, not giant thick coins; instead, thin coins that stack and don't end up moving anything most of the time. How would you feel actually putting real money in for each coin? I'm not talking real quarters, but say 1 cent for every coin? Or maybe even lower. I feel like that is a necessary component to get any level of simulation and feeling of risk versus reward.

I've had zero success with these machines and I was boggled when I saw someone playing one on an iPad in public once.

Okay, so we know you like real coin pushers over the mobile versions, but... do you prefer them over pinball, or any other sort of arcade fare? Just wondering where I'd find you if you stumbled into my local Dave and Busters. :) hehe
And man, those cheap plastic rings take me back to my childhood.
