Well. Happy to have bought the Carmageddons for pretty darn cheap a while ago, happy to have decided to wait to play the new one until a few patches ahead. Looks like I can wait a little while longer. Thanks for the heads up and reminding me to try out TDR 2000 first instead. Or just stick to the classics like I feel I should. Yeah. Carmageddon 1 *with* awesome soundtrack still feels new enough to me.

I put so many hours in to carma 1 . I remember play that time locked demo so much it hurt. That why I had to buy it on steam when it was 75% off

I would get it on sale. I doubt I would pay full price for it due to the lack of optimization. All depends on how much they fix in the near future.

I love the game dearly but the only grip would be just the performance issues. I don't mind the way the game looks. I just hope they can fix that. Are you gonna do a updated video on this game like you did with SimCity?

well so much for running it smoothly on my 4k monitor, im not even going to try lol. Looks awesome though, hopefully the performance issues get patched out soon.

I really hope they do address this, because it really is a blast when it's playable! Unfortunately, reviewers are hammering the game right now and I have no doubt that'll affect sales on Steam, which means less money to put towards fixing :/

Interesting all up - I didn't back the KS (I think I'd backed enough projects at the time that I had a bit of fatigue), but I certainly would have expected a lot of the performance glitches to be ironed out upon leaving Early Access :( Hopefully they're able to use the full release to get some opportunities to go back & patch it up - but it's a shame that in this day & age, that a 1.0 isn't quite as 1.0 as it should be :(

I was hoping you would review this so I could see if the $30US was worth it, I'm Australian so it will cost me around $40AU after the exchange rate and bank fees damage my account. I think I will hold off until my PC upgrade is done. My current PC is a Core I5 3570, 16GB RAM, Sapphire 7870XT 2GB, 250gb SSD, 1.5TB storage drive, it's getting a little long in the tooth now

Curious... I'm running the game from an HD and have similar load times. That suggests the loading is actually CPU or GPU restricted in some way... which also doesn't make any sense as I have a GeForce 660 GTX graphics card and a freaking 4 GHz CPU. Other than that, I pretty much agree 100% with everything said here. :B

It's still beta isn't it? While I don't enjoy the graphics performance, it has been improving significantly with every release.
