LGR - Quiz Quest - PC Game Review

I remember seeing plenty of Expert's other 'titles' in stores BITD. If they're anything like this, then well… I don't think I missed out on much. It might have had potential, but the writing and acting just feel flat. Let alone those mini-games…

Rob Caporetto

I've found I enjoy bringing light to games that deserve more attention rather than games that just suck. But it's refreshing to cover a stinker every so often too.

I talked about my trivia game of choice in this video: You Don't Know Jack! It's excellent and I highly recommend any of them.

LGR

Are there any good trivia games? This one looked like it had potential but fell on its face. Maybe it took it take from the game Mega Race.

Seeing you review this kind of shovelware reminded me of some of your older videos where you complained more. I really enjoy seeing your take on games that deserved their obscurity.

Zabe

Can't say I'd call any of them "the best", hehe. But I've got some very curious ones. One is a game called Commander Keen's Trek '96, and it turned out to be a Star Trek knock-off instead of a Commander Keen game.

LGR

Thanks, that's the goal!

Dude you keep pumping out good material at a steady pace. Awesome!

Steven Friar

rollie pollie?

It wouldn't be so bad if they at least kept the original name. Then it would be recognizable, and could be nice all around, but noooooo, they had to change the packaging and name on the box, yet keep the original name in the game...

As a Canadian, I am soarry.

CuppaKofe (Brandon)

Alright, here's one for ya. What is the best accidental find you've found? Like... you saw one name on the box and started it up to find something different?

Zem Hysong

They've got a few gems but yeah, most of them are pretty much shovelware

LGR

Right?? Why does Canada even have to exist if they're just going to go and ruin my trivia!

LGR

You bet. I was seriously confused when I booted this one up, haha.

LGR

I really hated it when companies would buy an old game and try to rebrand it with some other name. Short term profits for a company with minimal talent, long term confusion for everyone else. :P

Kris Asick

Ugh, that Canadian geography. Always ruining trivia games by existing. :P

Lindsay Michelle

I am always seeing "Expert" games at my local Goodwill, and I always pass them up because of the unbelievably laughable "art" and names... but after seeing this, I am almost inclined to start checking them out, just to see what they really are.
