[Oracle] lifts their hand to Az’s face and traces Az’s lip with their thumb. The world quietens, shrinks to this place only, this touch. Az wills themselves to be their usual self, shameless and relentless, but they can’t hide what [Oracle] does to them. How easily even such a small gesture unravels them.
Az takes a wobbling breath, staring [Oracle] in the eyes as if mesmerized. Kiss me, Az thinks. Kiss me, or my heart will burst open.
