Kindreds being reborn over and over again! Strange powers of persuasion and they almost got Scully with them!! So creepy. Glad she got away in the nick of time. Sadly the Amish-like group also escaped, lets hope they dont go on a killing spree once again!

One of my favorite episodes. Love how they set forth the idea of "Amish Aliens." They do indeed stand apart from the rest of society. It makes sense that secretive alien visitors might use an isolationist sect like that as cover. Scully: "It's hard to imagine, in this day and age, someone having sex with a perfect stranger." Your reaction: "That happened all the time." Keep in mind the spread of AIDS was still a big deal back in the 1990s.

2025-11-21 22:06:47 +0000 UTCPeople being abducted, disfigured bodies, government conspiracies, scary mutant creatures? Completely fine. Manky toenails? Dakara, "You've taken things too far!" About believing, even though sci-fi/horror/fantasy has always appealed to me, I think my brain works more like Scully's. That can be pretty challenging though. Lol. This one time back in high school, I woke up with a slight bout of sleep paralysis, and then found myself in the midst of an out of body experience where I began rising above my bed. Like floating. There below me, was Pong all tucked in , with my younger brother on a bed by the other side of the room we shared. Low huming noises, bright white lights, inability to scream and everything. I knew this was all in my head, probably half asleep dreaming, but it's pretty hard to accept logic and fight the images your own brain is producing. I found that conflict within, pretty hilarious the next morning. Haha. Also, Alternative X Files episode titles, "Roofied by an Extraterrestrial Amish Shapeshifter: My Story." Thanks for another great reaction Dak!
