I finally managed to watch this reaction fully and boy this episode still hurts like nothing else and the primary reason why everyone who gets to this episode is so unprepared for Etta’s death is because in the few episodes we had with her the writers managed to make her feel like part of the core group of the show, almost like she had been there from the beginning, that plus the fact that she is Peter and Olivia’s daughter prevents people from believing they would ever do something like this but they did and as cruel as it may sound i like that they did becaus they not only raised the stakes for the season even more but they also made them much more personal to our group and specifically to the Bishop family and that final look from Peter…. you just know he is going to everything and anything it takes to accomplish this mission now, no matter the cost. Like i said in my first comment we are about enter one of the darkest/most depressing part of the whole show where our favourite characters will be tested to limit but i also think that it allows us to get closer to them like never before and i can’t wait for you experience it Dak! God the writers were so good in this episode at making you think that the main scare of the was in that initial scene with Peter and after that everything was going their way, they managed to not get caught in the lab, they killed like 20 loyalists/observers while getting the scroll and those bastards even threw in a (fantastic) Broyles reunion to sweeten the deal, all of that so you couldn’t see that ending coming. The fight between Etta and Windmark is so hard to watch but so well shot with her knowing that she can’t beat him hand to hand to she tries to distract him by letting him see those memories and then she activates the antimatter baton so her parents are forced to leave and save themselves, god she was such a badass in the truest sense of word. “The bullet that saved the world” is such perfect name for such peculiar totem that the Bishop family now carries around, don’t forget about that bullet because we’ll see it again 🥲 and the conversation between Etta and Olivia about it was so sweet 🥹. Ok ok enough about his episode because i’m starting to get emotional just writing about it. As usual Dak such a great reaction and i’m confident you’ll love what’s coming ahead just… prepare yourself emotionally 😭.

2025-07-17 14:52:29 +0000 UTCAll I could think last episode, when Peter is telling Olivia to enjoy their family's second chance, was "I hate these writers." "You can't imagine what it's like to lose a child." Walter's line to Olivia at the end of 2x16 also cuts so much deeper after seeing this. The first time you see that episode, your heart breaks for what Walter went through. Every time after that, it breaks for what Walter went through AND the knowledge that Olivia and Peter are going to go through it too. Devastatingly brutal.
