Weekly Video Production Report - February 20th

Hey everyone, I haven't made one of these public posts for a while, and I do apologize for that. I know I'm not exactly the best at communication, so I'd like to start posting weekly progress reports about what exactly is going on with the channel, what videos are in production, and what our weekly schedule might look like.

As always, we have a number of both short form and longer form content currently in development, some of which is potentially weeks away from being finished or ready for public release, but here's a look at where production currently stands and what videos we have ready for this week.

Channel Schedule for the Week of February 20th-26th

So, looking into this next week, we'll mainly be airing Mod of the Day showcase videos for the 2023 Morrowind Winter Modjam. That competition had 29 mods released for it, and we're going to try and showcase as many as possible, so that's the primary focus for this week, and probably next week as well.

Mod of the Day Showcases:

• Monday, February 20th - Prince of Fate by Remiros (complete, uploaded and online)
• Tuesday, February 21st - Ald Gash - A Redoran Lighthouse by Istreddify (video recording complete, currently in video editing)
• Wednesday, February 22nd - Troubled Waters by Globemallow (currently working on video recording)
• Thursday, February 23rd - The Search for the White Wave by Melchior Dahrk 
• Friday, February 24th - Blight Racers - Armed and Dangerous by Lamb Shark 
• Saturday, February 25th - Telvanni Magister Robes by Ruffin Vangar 

Mod Making Videos (for Behind the Scenes Backers):

• Saturday, February 25th - Episode 15 - Of Egg Mines and Ancestral Tombs - Our first episode focusing on a new dungeon interior for the Ahallaraddon Egg Mine, the Lost Halls of the Hlervu, where the ruined remnants of a sunken ancestral tomb have been colonized by Kwama foragers and workers.

I'm keeping Sunday clear for now, in case I manage to finish up one of the longer form videos in production, but I'd say that's pretty unlikely at this point.

Speaking of, here's our list of other videos that are currently in production and their current status:

Other Mod of the Day Showcases in Production (but not scheduled):

• OAAB - Brother Juniper's Twin Lamps by Lucevar (video recording complete, showcase delayed for Winter Modjam results)
• NOD - NPC Outfit Diversity by Lucevar (video recording at 50%, delayed for Winter Modjam results)

Other Videos in Production (not scheduled):

• Top 15 - Best Morrowind Mods of 2022 (Part 1) - Covers the best Morrowind mods from between January and June of 2022 (currently working on video recording).
• Community News - 2022 Year in Review - A look at mod releases, community activity, and project development in 2022 (currently working on video recording).
• Tamriel Rebuilt - Embers of Empire Release Trailer - A bit after the fact, but the TR team still wants a release trailer for EoE, currently this project is in preliminary video-recording.
• The Winners of the 2022 Modathon Showcase - I know, I know, the 2022 Modathon was nearly a year ago, and we still haven't released the winners showcase. That's partly because, due to our division of winning categories, there are 22 winning mods, and also partly because covid wrecked my video schedule last year. Video recording is almost complete, we're down to the final 3 mods that we need to record before we can begin audio narration and video editing. Based on current production, we might have this out sometime in mid-to-late March.

Videos in Planning Phase:

In addition to actual video production, we have several major showcase videos currently in planning or preliminary production, including:

• Morrowind Modding Showcases - Episode 77 - Some of you may recall that we had Patreons choose the theme for the 77th episode of Morrowind Modding Showcases, and that incidentally caused a minor issue of trying to find enough mods to fit the theme. That theme was "Other Elder Scrolls Games" or, essentially, "Mods that are Inspired By/Based Upon Other Elder Scrolls Games". At the time, I had a bit of difficulty finding enough mods to fit the 12 mod layout for an episode of MMS, but since then I've managed to confirm a preliminary layout of mods to include. Video recording has been delayed though, since this is a bit of a lower priority compared to our end of the year videos.
• Top 10 Landmass Mods (Non-Province Mods) - This was originally supposed to air back in 2021, focusing on non-provincial landmass mods for Morrowind, but hit some bad luck with two of the main mods being featured getting major new releases after video recording had already been completed. Fast-forward to now, and pretty much all of the video footage already recorded for this project will need to be scrapped in favor of the superior graphics builds that are now available for Morrowind. The only good news is that we already have the mod layout for this video, but the bad news is that we're running low on hard-drive space with so many other videos in production. Theoretically, this shouldn't take too long to record once we have a bit of space available, but we need to finish some other video projects to make room first.
• Top 15 - Best Morrowind Mods of 2022 (Part 2) - The second part for the top 15 mods of 2022, this video will showcase the best mods from between July and December of 2022. The mod layout for this has already been established, and because we've showcased so many mods in our Mod of the Day series, most of the video recording is already finished too. All that remains is to record a handful of additional mods, write a script, do the audio narration, and of course, the video editing.

Anyway, that's a quick look at our current video production, there's obviously quite a lot in development, so stay tuned next week for another production update!
