Morrowind Modding Showcases - Channel Schedule and Production Week of April 19th
Added 2021-04-19 17:01:01 +0000 UTCToday we've got another weekly channel schedule for you all, highlighting our current planned videos for the week of April 19th, and I've also got a few notes on video production I'd like to share with everyone, particularly concerning videos coming out in the next few weeks.
First and foremost, the theme for Morrowind Modding Manors - Episode 21, airing on April 29th, has been chosen, and it's going to be a "Buyable Homes" theme. There's quite a few mods that fit into that category, so I figure this is a good opportunity to showcase some of the bigger housing mods that we've missed over the past few years. I've already begun working on the episode layout, so with any luck, you should see that in Early Access by this weekend.
Next, as I mentioned in our Behind the Scenes podcast, the Morrowind Mod of the Day videos will be airing 5-days a week starting next week, so you'll start seeing those popping up in Early Access everyday this week. Preliminary logistical work has also begun on the Oblivion Mod of the Day videos, mostly reviewing all the mods released in the past few years and selecting the ones that would best fit a Mod of the Day format for future play-testing. The plan is to get the Oblivion Mod of the Day videos off the ground sometime in early May, airing on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Also, just as a note, we'll have a new poll this coming Thursday! Currently, we have two open slots for new videos in May, and we're going to let you, our patrons, decide which video series (Cities of Cyrodiil, Let's Mod Morrowind, Darkelfguy's Favorite Mods, Oblivion Modding Showcases, Villages of Vvardenfell, Morrowind Modding History, Oblivion House Mod Hunters) will get a new episode in May! So stay tuned on Thursday for more information about that!
Anyway, onto our video schedule:
The Mod of the Day - Monday, Wednesday, Friday (April 19th, 21st, and 23rd):
Basically a normal week, Mod of the Day-wise, we just have three new episodes planned for this week, and these are already available to our Early Access patrons. Next week we'll be doing five episodes though, and that will likely remain the norm from here on out.
Morrowind's Abandoned Mod Projects - Amanita - Tuesday (April 20th):
Probably most of you have forgotten about this series, it was, after all, ironically abandoned in 2018. But we're going to try and bring it back, and the goal of this series is to give new attention to abandoned projects in the hopes that newer modders might be tempted to try and finish them. The subject of Tuesday's video is Amanita by SGMonkey, a massive landmass mod designed to work with Tamriel Rebuilt that was officially abandoned in 2019. It's a pretty cool looking mod, though obviously unfinished, and hopefully a video will give it some renewed interest.
I'm still working on this one, due to loss of sleep I haven't been able to finish it yet, so we might not have it done for Early Access. I do apologize for that.
Morrowind Modding Highlights EP12 - Thursday (April 22nd):
I'm going to try and get this series a little more caught up, so we have a new episode planned for this coming Thursday, looking at the top 10 best mods of mid-August 2020. The current plan is to use Morrowind Modding Highlights to get caught up on providing showcases and video footage for the mods released in 2020. Whether or not we'll continue this series into covering mods released in 2021, now that we have the Mod of the Month back on track, is a bit of an open question, and one we'll probably leave to you, our patrons, when the time comes.
Either way, this episode is already fairly well along, so we should have it up on Early Access with a DropBox link sometime on Wednesday.
Redoran Modjam - City, Dungeon, and Items Mods - Saturday (April 24th):
I decided to split the results of the Spring Modjam into two more videos, since 15 mods is a lot to cover all at once. So instead, this Saturday, we'll be taking a look at 7 mods that include changes and updates to Redoran cities, a new dungeon mod, and a handful of new items mods. The remaining 8 mods, which includes new quests and companions, will be airing on May 2nd.
I'll be doing video production work on this one today, so with any luck, it'll be on Early Access sometime on Thursday.
Waters of Morrowind - Early Development Preview - Sunday (April 25th):
One the latest projects by Tel Shadow, Waters of Morrowind is a mod that aims to detail and add new locations to the bottom of the Inner Sea between Vvardenfell and the Tamriel Rebuilt mainland, giving you whole new underwater adventures to go on.
We'll be doing a development preview of an alpha build of Waters of Morrowind on Sunday, just doing a bit of an underwater flyby. I'm still waiting for Tel Shadow to send me the development files for this one, but once we get those on hand, we should have this wrapped up by Friday.
Anyway, that's all for now, again, we'll have a new poll on Thursday, and if you haven't cast your votes for Episode 75 yet, please do so soon! As always, stay safe, stay healthy, happy modding, and I'll see you next time!
