What gets me is the video like all digital pics and videos now have a internal date and time. By the time the vid was being recorded Alexander has already been suspended and in the hands of the staff.

I was so confused as to why Alexander would just go along with August's plan but you explain it perfectly why he would and why he thought he'd get away with it. I forget that a lot of these kids are connected to royalty or high-class families that could sweep these kinds of controversies under the rug. Thank you!

2024-07-30 15:11:22 +0000 UTCRosh is the MVP, let's be honest lol I absolutely love her and Ayub. And I completely agree with you that Simon's boundaries weren't respected by Willie or Marcus. As for Marcus, I really wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, despite that I felt a bit uncomfortable and confused by the interaction he and Simon had when Simon first tried to break it off. You put it into words for me as to why it didn't feel right. Throwing Simon's trauma from his dad in his face as a way to keep Simon gave me the ick and I didn't feel right about him after that point. As for his rant towards Simon near the end, I didn't like that he made it seem as though Simon has a victim complex - in a lot of these situations, he IS a victim. He didn't ask for any of these things to happen to him, and clearly doesn't like that any of it is happening. I tried my hardest to give Marcus the benefit of the doubt but after a second viewing, I think it's better that he and Simon didn't work out.

It is their responsibility to protect that and make connections to ensure the future privileges for their family. He is just as much an embodiment of the school motto as Wille is. When Wille becomes good friends with him at the start of the season, he switches his allegiances to Wille from August based on the rumor he's heard. He has finally made the ultimate connection. The Crown Prince. But when he finds out that Wille in fact does not have his back and was the first to throw him under the bus to protect someone else, he resents his fake friendship, and realises that he can't rely on this connection so he switches back to August. August has never lied to him and petitioned to save Alexander in the drug problem and has now promised that the Royal Court will be in his debt. Alexander knows how to play the game that all these kids at this school are here to play. Join societies to keep the noble families secure. Try to have a relationship with the Prince so that your children will be royal. Make friends with the cousin of the royal family even if you're noveau riche - it will open doors for you in the future. Keep your relationships within your class (even queer ones as Nils tells Wille twice this season). Keep secrets in your class - never snitch to the outside world that you know it was Wille's room that the sex video happened in so they all know who was in the video with Simon. So I hope that helps explain Alexander's thinking. His role in that school, probably impressed on him by his dad who paid to have him continue to attend Hillerska, is to firm up connections that could prove fruitful in the future.

Many fans did not like Marcus - but I like the fact that you liked the idea of him for Simon and weren't instantly biased against him because you wanted Simon back with Wille a.s.a.p.! In my opinion Simon got his boundaries walked over by both Wille and Marcus this season. He asked Wille for space but Wille kept demanding information about his new relationship, sarcastically ridiculing his need for space and deciding for him to not share the information about August. Wille not respecting Simon's asking for time and space and giving him the agency to make his own decisions about his life, was tough to watch. But he grew to understand and made changes. Marcus did not respect Simon asking to not have a relationship. In that conversation he convinced Simon to take his affection and continue with the relationship, using Simon's insecurities about his dad and belittling him by telling him he didn't know what a healthy relationship looked like. I guess he wanted Simon and was going to do whatever he could to get him eventually. Also, he knew he was a rebound. You said it's unfortunate when a rebound doesn't know he's a rebound. But he himself brought up that Wille had hurt Simon and told him that he wouldn't do the same. He knew about the video and how recent all of that was. He was fully aware that he was a rebound. He was just shooting his shot.
