2024-02-22 07:21:06 +0000 UTCMentioned it in a direct message but I got my facts wrong(if you want a source other than my sleep-deprived brain, there was a book on them by Patrick O'Donnell that came out in 2017 titled Waahington's Immortals that I've heard is pretty good) and thought I'd put here too. The story of the Maryland(and Delaware) 400 is a great story that would be perfect for the show. Includes everything from an American Army being trapped, to 2 awesome leaders(one of whom was a Scottish-American who intentionally decided to get through the British line so he could surrender to the Hessian mercenaries rather than the Brits) leading their men on a charge while heavily outnumbered, to enormous consequences in saving General Washington's Army and quite likely the Revolution itself.

I went for a year there in the MP Company. There were sons of Dictators there as well as other sons from sketchy Countries. Norwich University is 1st Private Miltary in the United States, founded in 1819. They have cannons that Gettysburg has or don't have (cant remember) and one of these gets borrowed every once in a while for Miltary type celebrations in US. You might might to do a quick look at...it has very deep US history running thru it. I was there 1994 and part of 1995.

They (Brandon and the rep) were thoughtful and respectful even after the guy explained how the laws were still going to be on the books...someone was going to be enforcing them regardless of the agency they ended up at. Makes you think that the problem isn't with the rank and file, but the leadership who tell their agents to go out and shoot dogs because their owners have pistol braces...
